Lokmanya's South Indian Cafe — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Menu consists of appe, idli, dosa and uttapa. Their speciality is Davangiri dosa. I ordered Rava masala dosa for Rs. 70 and appe for Rs. 35. Rava masala dosa was good in taste but a bit oily. Potato sabji was less in quantity. I will never recommend rawa mysore dosa and plain uttapa. Just don't go for it. Jini dosa : worth Rs 150 It was nice in taste and quite heavy but price not so special for Rs. 150 Masala dosa : it came into big size. Suffices fpr 2 persons. They provide very less potato sabji here too. Dosa should be crisp and not hard. Flavour of sambar has south indian taste with Maharashtrian touch. Really bad service, we asked 2) idli-wada sambar which cost you 65/- per plate means 130/- They gave us idli sambar only we told them that we ordered idli-wada sambar not just idli. they said ok and they brought 2 wada’s. Single wada for each plate. So the total will be the same 130/- as, per plate of idli-wada sambar is 65/- But they charged 230/- and said 2 wada cost for 100/- How those small 2 wada’s cost 100/-? And they haven’t even mentioned that single wada costs to 50/-. They took 230 from us it’s a loot. It’s not about money but why shall i pay double? Really pathetic! This is a nice spot for a South Indian brunch. The food tastes pretty good! I tried the Mysore Masala Dosa, Onion Uttapa, and Sponge Dosa. However, I felt the Sponge Dosa (₹150+) wasn’t worth the price—I've had better ones in Pune for just ₹50-60, with more quantity and flavor. The filter coffee was decent too.

When I visited with friends (on election holiday), it was crowded, and all the tables were taken. There was no token system or waiting list, so people who came after us got tables first, which was a bit frustrating.
