They open as early as 7 am, so good for breakfast. I initially requested for Dadpe Pohe, but was told that they serve it only in the evening from 4-7.30pm. So, I settled for sabudana khichadi which was piping hot, a delight during the cold, wet monsoon morning. It was well-cooked, chewy and just with the right amount of spiciness from fine green chillies for my palate. Chutney would have been nice as I don't have tea. But, for the price, it was absolutely awesome. Paisa Vasool. I again requested for Dadpe Pohe as it had been recommended by a fellow reviewer. This time, the owner obliged me. I loved the lovely fusion between bhel and pohe. The soft pohe complimented by the crunch of raw onions, fried peanuts and sev was a winning combination. Thank you MK's khau Katta for obliging me. You made by day and was a superrb finish to my Ganpatipule trip. Oh! How can I not mention that all this homely food just came for Rs 75/- The owner knows and loves his chosen business of serving food, a winning principle as cited in the book, 'Happy Money.' During our visit to Ganpatipule on Independence Day, we had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful breakfast experience at Khau Katta. Despite the holiday rush and the place being quite crowded, the service was impressively quick, well-managed, and very warm. What made it even more special was that we were personally attended to by the owner himself, which added a touch of genuine hospitality.
We tried Poha, Usal Wada, Sabudana Khichdi, and Wada Chat, and each of the dishes carried the essence of authentic Maharashtrian flavors. The taste was simply outstanding — light, fresh, yet full of traditional richness. Among all, the Usal Wada stood out with its perfect spice balance, but honestly, every preparation reflected homely authenticity and care.
Overall, Khau Katta is truly a gem for anyone looking to relish authentic Maharashtrian snacks in Ganpatipule. The combination of tasty food, swift service, and heartfelt hospitality makes it a must-visit spot.

Read moreThis place is very close to Ganpatipule temple. We went for a light breakfast at around 8:30am. The place has self service system with wooden benches kept with tables. The sitting area is small and hence table-sharing is quite obvious. The staff is very good.
The food was real good. I ordered sabudana khichdi which was super tasty (₹30), vada pav (₹15) which was one of the best I've had because of the freshly prepared hot vada, idli (₹30) which were fluffy and coffee (₹20). Everything was freshly prepared and tasted very good.
Must try for everybody who wants to have an awesome breakfast in...
