⭐ 0/5 — Shockingly Unprofessional and Rude Management
We had an extremely unpleasant experience at Quattro Bistro, Lonavla, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for even basic hospitality — let alone a good meal.
From the moment we entered, we were met with apathy. When we ordered food and asked the staff to serve it, we were flatly told to serve ourselves because, as they said, “it won’t be possible for us to serve you.” We didn’t complain — we quietly served ourselves and continued with our meal.
However, things escalated when the bill arrived. We noticed a 10% service charge added to the bill. Given that no service was provided — not even a glass of water, we politely asked to have the charge removed. By law, service charge is voluntary, and customers have the right to decline it. But instead of acknowledging that, the manager Cletus and his team argued with us, saying “how can you not pay the service charge when we’ve served you?” — even though they hadn’t served us at all. It felt like we were being guilt-tripped for a service that never existed.
The situation only got worse when it came to payment. We paid the bill through Swiggy Dineout, and after the payment was successfully deducted from our bank account (a significant amount — around ₹12,000), the staff suddenly claimed that Swiggy was not working and that they hadn't received the money. When we asked them why they hadn’t informed us earlier, they started arguing again, offering no help or clarity.
We then requested that they file a complaint on their side with Swiggy, just as we were doing from our end. They refused at first, only agreeing once we insisted. When they finally opened their Swiggy system, we clearly saw that our payment had already been received by them — which meant they had been lying to us all along. When confronted, they changed their story, saying it was a payment for delivery — a blatant lie, especially since:
We were the last customers in the restaurant. The kitchen was closed. The timestamp and amount matched our dine-in bill exactly.
When we pointed all of this out and said we were leaving, the manager threatened us, saying they would instruct the watchman to lock the gate and not let us out. This was shocking, intimidating, and unacceptable behavior. We were being held back after full payment, simply because we called out their dishonesty.
To make matters worse, Cletus started commenting on our “standard of talking,” acting as though we were being disrespectful — when in reality, he was the one lying, dodging accountability, and treating us with arrogance and condescension. It was incredibly ironic and unprofessional for him to lecture us about communication when he showed no basic courtesy himself. The way Cletus and the staff behaved was hostile, manipulative, and downright disgraceful. No apology, no responsibility — only lies, threats, and arrogance.
Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of restaurants in Lonavla that respect customers and follow basic ethics. Quattro Bistro is...
Read moreQuattro Bistro is a charming little spot, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. When we arrived for lunch, the place wasn’t very busy, which made for a relaxed and unhurried dining experience.
Ambience: One of the standout features of Quattro Bistro is its serene ambience. Surrounded by trees and plants, you feel as if you’re dining in the midst of nature. It’s a lovely setting, especially if you enjoy a more natural, outdoorsy vibe. However, on the day we visited, it was very hot and humid, and unfortunately, they don’t have an air-conditioned area to sit. Sitting outside in the heat was a bit of a letdown, particularly on such a warm day.
Food: The food at Quattro Bistro was pretty decent. We tried the pasta, garlic bread, and a few other items from the menu. While the main dishes were satisfying, the highlight for me was the in-house made mayo and sour cream, which paired wonderfully with the fries. They added a fresh and flavorful touch to the meal. However, the fruit juices we ordered were just alright—not particularly memorable, and they could have been better in terms of taste.
Service and Cleanliness: One area that definitely needs improvement is the cleanliness of the cutlery. We had to request clean cutlery twice, which was disappointing and somewhat detracted from the overall experience. While the service was polite, this issue with cleanliness is something the bistro should address promptly.
Pricing: In terms of pricing, Quattro Bistro leans towards the expensive side. Given the experience, particularly with the heat and the issue with the cutlery, the price didn’t quite match the overall value.
Final Thoughts: Quattro Bistro has a lot of potential, especially with its beautiful, nature-inspired setting and the decent quality of its food. However, the lack of air-conditioned seating, issues with cleanliness, and the high prices are factors that need attention. While I enjoyed the peaceful ambience and the in-house sauces, there are a few key areas that could be improved to make it a more appealing dining option. I’d consider returning on a cooler day, but I hope the bistro addresses these concerns to enhance the...
Read moreWe were in lonavala for the night and were exploring glass cafes. Came across Quattro online and we reached here for dinner.
The ambience of Quattro is pleasant and inviting, it will be top of the class in rains for the huge glass roof would make it magical.
The food was not too exciting. We started off with the Truffle fries and Bruschetta .. We liked the fries and their in-house garlic aioli that came along with it. 4 thin slices of Bruschetta were sweet tasting to our liking ..I couldn't pin it but what looked like a splash of balsamic vinegar was a sweet reduction sauce of something.
Then we moved on to the mains, with Aglio Olio Pasta and a thin crust Mushroom Pizza .. both things tasted fresh, however at this point we started to realize the portion sizes were too small (especially given the high prices) ...if that wasn't enough .. all 4 of us were ending up adding salt to our bites as both the pizza and pasta were under-seasoned.
Then we ordered a chef special Risotto - Funghi and even informed our server to request chef about right seasoning.
Still Risotto was under-seasoned for our palettes ..really wonder if our feedback was conveyed ..after a sprinkle of salt, Risotto did taste amazing in the creamy mushroom sauce.
Then to the dessert, and here is where we felt cheated, ordered the Tiramisu that looked great with fresh mint garnish, but digging our spoons in, something didn't feel right..it cut through nicely with the top layer, but hit something hard in between ..
We realized the Tiramisu was frozen and middle layer hadn't thawed properly.. we said to ourselves its a Freezamisu !
Good place only for the ambience, marred by sonewhat slow service. Food options are nice, but portion sizes too small and dessert served to us was right out...
