I recently had the pleasure of visiting INTERVAL, a popular Bollywood-themed restaurant in town. As a vegetarian and follower of Jainism, I was pleasantly surprised by the exquisite Jain food offerings and the overall experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the vibrant ambiance and Bollywood-inspired decor set the stage for a delightful evening.
First and foremost, the Jain food at INTERVAL was truly outstanding. It's often challenging to find restaurants that cater specifically to Jain cuisine, but this place surpassed my expectations. The chefs displayed an impressive understanding of Jain principles, ensuring that the food was prepared without any root vegetables or ingredients like onions, garlic, and potatoes. I was thrilled to find a wide variety of Jain-friendly dishes on the menu, each bursting with authentic flavors and prepared with utmost care.
Every delicacy I tasted was a testament to the culinary expertise of the restaurant. The flavors were rich, the spices perfectly balanced, and the presentation impeccable. The Jain menu boasted an extensive array of dishes, from aromatic dals and curries to flavorful biryanis and delectable appetizers. Each dish was a unique blend of fresh ingredients and traditional Indian spices, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that delighted my taste buds.
Apart from the food, the ambiance of INTERVAL's added an extra touch of charm to my dining experience. The restaurant was tastefully decorated with iconic Bollywood posters, movie memorabilia, and vibrant colors, instantly transporting guests into the world of Bollywood glamour.
The service at INTERVAL was commendable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the Jain dietary requirements. They were happy to recommend dishes and assist with any specific requests, ensuring that each guest felt welcome and satisfied. The promptness and efficiency with which the food was served further added to the positive experience.
In conclusion, my visit to INTERVAL was a true delight. The exceptional Jain food offerings, combined with the captivating Bollywood ambiance, made it an experience to remember. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a taste of Bollywood while relishing mouthwatering Jain cuisine. Whether you're a vegetarian, a Jain follower, or simply an enthusiast of Indian cuisine, INTERVAL is a must-visit destination WHEN IN LONAVALA that guarantees an unforgettable...

I recently visited Interval cafe with high hopes for a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. We ordered a sizzler, expecting the usual hearty mix of flavors and components, but what arrived at our table was shockingly underwhelming—just a plate of veggies and fried rice. That’s it. No protein, no variety, no sizzle to speak of. It felt more like a side dish than a main course, and for the price we paid, it was frankly unacceptable.
When we brought this up with the staff, hoping for some resolution, their response was lukewarm at best. After some back-and-forth, they grudgingly “modified” it by bringing out a small serving of extra vegetables on the side. Not only did this barely improve the meal, but it also made it clear that they weren’t willing to put in the effort to fix the situation properly. It felt like a half-hearted attempt to appease us rather than a genuine effort to make things right.
To make matters worse, the owner’s attitude was downright appalling. Instead of addressing our concerns with professionalism or even basic courtesy, they were shockingly rude—dismissing our feedback and acting as if we were the problem for expecting better. It’s rare to encounter such blatant disrespect from someone in charge, and it completely soured the entire experience.
Overall, this place left me with a bad taste in my mouth—both literally and figuratively. The food was subpar, the service was lacking, and the owner’s behavior was the final nail in the coffin. I won’t be returning, and I’d strongly recommend others to steer clear unless they’re in the mood for overpriced veggies and a side of attitude. One star, and that’s...
Read moreLocated on Main Street Lonavala amidst all biggies is the biggest advantage of this restaurant! We were a group of 19 visiting this place. We ordered many items from their menu ranging from varieties of Sizzler, Dosas, Pizzas, Pav Bhaji, Pasta, Parotha, Triple schezwan, Paneer Starters, Nachos, mocktails - Mojito, Fresh Lime soda and water - sweet and salty. Ambience : is fresh and nice with Bollywood themed walls and decor with memorabilia.
Service : was quick and in place. They didnt mess up with orderd which was nice.
Taste: Menu has wide options satisfying palette of every person but the taste overall was average.
I liked South Indian, Penne arabiata pasta, sizzlers, parotha, pizza here.
Pav bhaji was bad and wudnt recommend, the whole crowd could barely finish it due to average taste so that could be completely missed. Nachos were horrible and more of rajma bhaji than beans.
Drinks - Mojito was horrible and was sent back to be redone. Fresh lime soda was nice, they didnt have Peach iced tea even if it was on menu.
Paneer Leheri starter was fantastic but one of our guests had a big strand of hair which was disappointing. The staff did bring a new plate after a while.
Overall one does decide to go to this place I would recommend ordering from South Indian dishes, Sizzlers, Chinese, Parotha,...
