It's been a while since I have heard about this place.. always tried to visit it in Mumbai but Pune finally made it possible.
Located on the floor just below the food court in Phoenix Mall, Wakad.. this place has decent amount of seatings available and the ambiance is good. They are usually playing some Italian music to keep the vibe.. whereas the restaurant has wood fired oven which is imported from Italy...
Coming over to food, their pizza's are made out of sourdough bread which is better than the all purpose flour and lighter on stomach. Their each pie consists of 8 slices. We decided to go for
Mushroom pizza: I am writing this as the original name is hard to remember. The base had the mushroom cream and was topped with button mushroom, buffalo mozzarella cheese, cherry tomato and basil leaves. The pizza was rightly baked with crust being crisp, mushrooms were flavorful, cherry tomato was pretty juicy, the cheese elevated the taste.
Veg Pizza of the month: This consisted of lot of toppings such as burrata, pesto, sundried tomatoes, garlic and basil leaves. Basically it's a margarita pizza with the mentioned toppings. The sun dried tomatoes tastes good, burrata though they spread it out which was good as initially I thought it's us who'll do the honors and mess it up! Overall a good pizza
Tiramisu: The traditional Italian dessert.. was baked fresh but it wasn't super fresh either. Overall, enjoyable as it was soft while stopping with spoon and thoroughly enjoyed it's after taste. This is their signature dessert.. and it's good too. Would definitely love to try this again with an entire one for myself!
Service was bit disappointing, the servers though delivering quickly they did not provide us with the condiments for the pizza unless asked. It should have been on the table and hope that's something which the management...
Read moreVisited Si Nona’s with a group of five on a bustling Saturday afternoon and walked away impressed. The food, service, and overall vibe made for a memorable experience.
We started with the Garlic Sourdough and the Pesto, Cheese & Tomato Calzone. Personally, I loved the garlic sourdough—crispy, aromatic, and comforting. Some friends leaned more towards the calzone, which was filling, had more components, and felt like a complete dish in itself. Both are worth trying, depending on your preference for light bites or fuller flavours.
For pizzas, we went for the Number 9 (with sun-dried tomatoes and rocket leaves) and the July Veg Special from the board on recommendation. I’m a fan of classics, so the Number 9 was my favourite—comforting, clean, and full of familiar Italian flavour. The July special, on the other hand, was more experimental and layered. Some of my friends preferred it for its unique flavour profile and innovation. Both pizzas were well made with a distinct sourdough base that stood out.
Dessert was a winner. The Tiramisu was delicious and truly authentic—definitely a must-try for any tiramisu lover. We also had the Panna Cotta with Blueberry Compote—delicate, mildly sweet, and perfect for those who like their dessert on the lighter side.
Despite the weekend rush, the service was prompt and warm. The staff were friendly, helpful, and polite throughout.

Read moreI recently visited Nonna's new outlet at the Mall of Millennium. Having been a fan of their FC Road location, I couldn't resist trying this one. The interior is minimalistic, cozy, and super aesthetic – I loved it.
As for the food, the authentic Neapolitan sourdough pizzas transported me straight to the cobbled streets of Naples. The 48-hour fermentation process for the dough, adhering to 18th-century traditions, results in pizzas that are ready in just 90 seconds – light with a fresh aroma.
What sets Nonna's apart is their unwavering commitment to quality ingredients. Locally sourced vegetables, carefully selected cheese, coffee beans, tomatoes, and olive oil – each with its own unique story. I indulged in their authentic sourdough pizza, number 3 on the menu, a true Neapolitan delight. The mozzarella and jalapeño croquettes provided the perfect kick.
The attention to detail extends to their coffee, which meets authentic standards, and their desserts are just as impressive. The tiramisu, panna cotta with blueberries, and skillet cookie were heavenly and a must-try! Nonna's newest outlet is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine taste of...
