This was not our first time dining at this restaurant. However, this was definitely the first time we had a server argue with us for serving burnt food.
This restaurant can do so much better with a well-trained staff and maybe a bigger pizza oven. The pizzas took a long time to arrive, the one that arrived was clearly burnt but the server wanted to argue, we proceeded to eat anyway because we were already 45 minutes deep into waiting for the food and the server wouldn't stop arguing (i literally asked him to stop arguing and move on). Stopped when we realised that the pizza was chewy and was charred to the point of having a hole right in the middle of the slice.
At this point the staff had another round of discussion within themselves and decided to agree that the pizza was burnt. Looks like they tried their best to force bad food until they just couldn't. Before this the server told us everything from 'this is our style of making pizzas' to 'is this the first time you are eating here'.
Ridiculous customer handling. No senior staff or manager intervened. After the damage was already done, one of the chefs apologised for the food and the server's behavior and offered a piece of cake which we refused because the evening was already ruined. He insisted and we asked for a pasta instead of the pizza (because their pizzas takes forever to make).
Now comes the bill and the surprise.. They charged us for the burnt pizza and not the pasta!! The pizza was twice the cost of the pasta we ate. Too appalled to even argue at this point, we just left.
Lesson learnt - avoid this place at all costs. Average food coupled with poor service is a recipe for disaster. Nonna’s on the 2nd floor is hands down a far far better option for pizza than this one and the standards are 10x better. The only reason we decided to give this place a shot this evening was due to dineout discounts.
Guess there is no discount that can salvage a bad dining experience. The reason I am writing this review is because i feel cheated - the restaurant charged me for food I...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Allora, and I can confidently say it was one of the best Italian meals I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm ambiance and welcoming staff set the tone for a memorable meal.
We started with some mouthwatering starters, each dish more delightful than the last. The Gnocchi, in particular, was a standout – perfectly smooth and silky in texture, with a rich, creamy taste that was nothing short of divine. It’s clear that the chefs here take great care in crafting each dish to perfection.
The pizza and Aglio Olio pasta were equally impressive. The pizza had a thin, crisp crust, topped with the freshest ingredients, while the Aglio Olio was a beautiful balance of garlic, olive oil, and perfectly cooked pasta – simple but executed with finesse.
Though the cocktail menu wasn’t to my liking, I opted for one from the available options, and I’m glad I did. It turned out to be just as delightful as the rest of the meal, complementing the flavors of the food perfectly.
What I loved most about the meal was how satisfying it was – the portions may have seemed small at first glance, but by the end, we were more than full. Cafe Allora is definitely a place I’ll be returning to, and I highly recommend it to anyone in search of authentic, high-quality...

We visited Cafe Allora recently and were thoroughly impressed. The Millennial Salad was a refreshing start, and the 4 cheese pizza was a delightful combination of flavors. The desserts, particularly the Tiramisu and the Flourless Chocolate Cake, were simply exceptional.
The food is not only delicious but also made with a dash of love and in-house herbs, adding an authentic touch to every dish. The service was top-notch, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
