A1 Bakery in Bandra is one of those super old-school spots tucked away in a tiny nook — no seating, just a small counter where you can grab your food and maybe stand around while you eat. We landed up here after Googling “old bakeries in Bandra,” and A1 popped up in almost every article, so naturally, we had pretty high expectations.

But honestly? It was quite underwhelming.

We tried a bunch of things — their veg and non-veg patties (both decent), the quiche (again, decent), and the very hyped-up chicken lollipops, which were… just okay. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing really wowed us either.

That said, the prices are quite reasonable. So for the price, the food is fair. But the overall experience? Meh. Definitely not something I’d go out of my way to recommend. I think the hype kind of worked against it — we walked in expecting a “hidden gem” kind of vibe and left feeling like it was all just very average.

If you’re nearby and want a quick, no-fuss bite, sure, give it a shot. But don’t expect...

Good old neighbourhood! Located on hill road bandra close to the bandstand!

There is variety of snacks both veg and non-veg. Rolls, kebab, puffs, croquettes, mawa cakes, chicken lollipops, quiches, cutlet, croissants etc….. list of long! With great taste , the price is also good! Light on the pocket! Great for quick bite or snacking! Also your morning place to get some fresh Bombay Pav ( Bombay buns)

There isn’t a seating area but a pure bakery! It’s more of a takeaway or more of a grabbing a quick bite standing there… also you can pack a few things, go sit on bandstand, relish the taste watching the wave. Pls if you do so do not litter, there are dustbins available. Let’s keep our cities clean. :)

A1 bakery is located at hill road near holy family hospital Bandra West. This is one of the oldest and most famous bakeries in Bandra. The best thing about this bakery is quality of delicious food items at a very inexpensive price. Be it their cinnamon buns, cheese balls, puffs, veg/ chicken patties , spring rolls, bread rolls, cakes, apple pie, chicken lollipop etc... Everything is so delicious and so affordable. It's the best place for quick bites. Popular among college students. The service and staff is really good. Only thing which can be improved is the cleanliness around the shop.
