Great dining experience!! It's always wonderful to go to an unknown place and walk away sated both gastronomically as well as with the experience. Tucked away behind the main AB s joint, this place is only a restaurant and has no licence for a bar. If you are a foodie you won't have regrets. And if you are a fish lover you will love the experience. The prawns thali is wholesome and very filling. Crisply fried prawns and a thick gravy prawns curry along with a light Dal , Rasa and Chapatti and rice and also with a large appalam. They will willingly replace the Chapatti with neer dosa. With no clue of the size, we ordered two surmai tawa fried fish. The length of the piece was over eight inches and about 3/4th inch in thickness. Blisssssss! The ghee roast was typically red and spicey and the Kudalur chicken curry was somewhat typically a Karnataka orange gravy. The Malabar parathas were soft and flakey. I unabashedly peeked at the table on the side and saw the with thali. Quite a sizeable white fried pomphret and equally filling. There is a lovey guava drink for the side as well as the dependable sol kadhi. The traditional way to wrap the meal will be with the tender coconut paysam made with a coconut milk base and has a generous sprinkling of finely chopped tender coconut. Nothing after this. Go home and sleep. As a baby would after a bellyful...

However, there was one dish that I absolutely loved - the Elaneer Payasam. This dessert is a coconut milk-based pudding that is flavored with tender coconut flesh. The creamy texture of the payasam, combined with the subtle sweetness of the coconut, made for a truly delightful dessert. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it's worth visiting the restaurant just for this dish!
Overall, while the food at this restaurant was good, it was the Elaneer Payasam that really stole the show for me. If you're a fan of South Indian cuisine, and you have a sweet tooth, then this dessert is an absolute must-try.
Also, Tandoori lollipop...
