Above and Beyond located opposite APOLLO CLINIC, DOMINOS and Mc Donald's Mahakali Caves is an all day breakfast/sheeshah eatery place. My visit was on a Sunday afternoon around 1 p.m

The base level showcases a concrete grey floor with brick walls adorning metal frames and inherits its roots of an industrial vibe. As one ascends to the next level they see marble stairs (integrated with geometric stone cut outs) and a wall with gear framed mirrors, lead to the upper level of the café with radiant hues which serves as a separate hangout and eating area. Level one is appointed with an eclectic array of furnishings.The elements of the room exhibit impressive shades on multi-coloured sofas which dominate the interiors along with a neutral color-washed background giving the feel of a Moroccan culture.

Hookah - Had their Blueberry Mint and Kiwi Pan Salsa Hookah. There is no Hookah menu as of now, so you can literally customize. Go wild on the flavors. Look for Alam. The lad knows how to make good Hookahs. So big up for that yo. The table hookah is priced Rs. 600/- and the Shahi Hookah is priced Rs.1250/- They also make a fruit base hookah, you just need to inform them in advance. This can go upto Rs.1500/-

The Smoothies (These guys make real good smoothies)

Strawberry Rose Smoothie - A perfect blend of rose essence and strawberry served in a tall glass with some strawberry syrup design inside the glass.

Mix Berry Smoothie - Another well blended drink which had strawberries, cranberries and wild-berries with some milk and chocolate served in a tall glass. Too yummy.

Food

Sundried Tomatoes Polenta Squares - Pan seared veggies, ratatouille, mini polenta squares with mozzarella and fried basil was the perfect starter of the afternoon. Very well made and lite bite.

Mushroom Caramelized Onions Sandwich - Hot bun full of cooked mushrooms and caramelized onions with some cream cheese served in a lovely plate. Thrown some fries and salad on the sides. Beautiful. The taste was perfect. Mushrooms were well cooked.

Eggs Benedict - Eggs Benedict is a traditional American brunch or breakfast dish that consists of two halves of an English muffin each of which is topped bacon, a poached egg, and hollandaise sauce. But in this case, since it's an eggetarian joint there was no bacon served on top. Loved this dish. Also it's on the heavier side.

Garlic Bread with Cheese - They made the best garlic bread with cheese. It's so rare to have a taste of garlic in the bread unlike the others who literally fake it.

Chef's Special Pasta - A typical al dente penne made in pink sauce with mushrooms and broccoli. Topped with Parmesan cheese for that extra crunch.

Lavash and Pita Bread with 3 dips - Yes, my favorite part. The dips. Honestly i loved the Babaganoush and the hummus dip. Not a fan of Tzatziki. The lavash were yummy and crunchy.

Ended the afternoon with..

Pineapple pastry - Which had a lot of water in the sponge. Don't know why but wasn't that happening.

Nutella Waffles - Again, the taste here was more of the whipped cream and nutella spread and less of the waffles.

Heavy improvement needed in the dessert section for sure.

Overall, the experience is amazing at A&B because of the Hookahs and the cozy seating arrangements. The staff is polite. Look for Deepak the restaurant manager and Samsul the first floor staff. They will guide you well with your food and beverage choices.

Above and Beyond is a cafe located in Andheri East on the Mahakali Caves Road, just opposite to McDonald's. They serve some mind blowing sheeshas.

The ambience here is also very good and it is divided into 2 levels. The ground floor is where there is an open kitchen and many board games to choose from. First floor is where the sheesha is served with a big screen for live streaming.

The interior is also very colourful. The menu is also widely spread with sandwiches, wraps, shakes and mojitos. They only serve egg in Non-Veg section.

Things we tried-

Mocktails🍸🍸 & Shakes😍😍 ✓ Strawberry Mojito Strawberry flavoured mojito, with ice cubes and mint leaves. Very refreshing.

✓ Oreo Shake A jar full of Oreo milkshake in which Oreo biscuits are crushed and added to milk with some other ingredients. On the top there is whipped cream with Chocolate sticks and a Oreo biscuit.

✓ Mix berry Smoothie A perfect mixture of all the berries in milk and Chocolate sauce for presentation purpose.

Appetizers ❤❤ ✓ Pot holes of Mumbai Flyover A signature egg dish of this outlet. Two big bread buns hollowed from top. They are filled up with a mixture of beans and veggies. On the top a egg is poached. The taste is very good, little on the sweeter side.

✓ Alfredo pasta A white sauce penne pasta served with 2 thin slices of garlic bread. The pasta was very Cheesy and all the flavours were perfect.

✓ Cajun Spiced Burger The burger consisted of a patty which contained all the spices and veggies. The party was very very spicy. The patty was very thick, Mayo and lattice leaves were also added.

✓ Cheesy Fries The fries were very Crispy, mozorella cheese was also added on top of it. Three different dips were also served along. All the dips were very good.

Desserts🍨🍨 ✓ Belgian Chocolate Cupcake A small cupcake of Belgian chocolate were chocolate cream is added on top. A must try.

✓ Nutella Waffle Nutella cream was spread over and between the waffle pieces. Nothing special but worth trying.

Above and Beyond Eatery is a very beautiful looking cafe with all the green plants around it. This place has 2 sections one is normal cafe and another is for sheesha. Here the menu is vegetarian plus eggetarian!

Coming to the food..

One thing I would like to highlight here is that they fall short of most of the items in the menu, like I ordered a Java Chip once and I asked for another one and they informed it's not available. I had ordered a cottage cheese tikka wrap which never arrived. Also the servers here are not able to communicate well, it was very difficult for me to understand what the server was saying all the time.

◽Oven Baked Jerked Potato Wedges

A small tower of Potato Wedges and some cheese sauce drizzled over it along with some colourful peppers. The sauce was good, if they had removed the potato skin I would have liked it.

Cooked Polenta shaped like a square and topped with some tomato sauce and cheese and garnished with fried basil leaf. Nice innovation, it would have tasted even better if they would have used bread instead of polenta.

This was a thin crust pizza with very little or no tomatoes at all. The server brought another one when he realised the same. The taste was actually good.

The presentation was very good and it came along with some fries and a garlic mayo dip. The Dip is what I loved and the patty of the burger was too dry.
