Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype or the Money 🛑
We visited Agrezi Dhaba on Saturday, 31st May 2025, as a group of 3 married couples along with 2 kids, hoping for a pleasant evening out. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be an utter disappointment from start to finish.
First of all, imagine walking into a restaurant on a Saturday night and seeing only two waiters managing the entire floor. That alone sets the tone for what’s to come. Service was painfully slow and chaotic, with one waiter literally sprinting from table to table trying to handle everything. It felt like watching a poorly managed event, not a professional dining experience.
I had made a booking through Zomato, only to be told by the waiter that pricing would differ if we paid via the app compared to paying directly. Why play such shady pricing games with customers? This kind of misleading marketing is simply unacceptable.
To make matters worse, some of my friends ordered from the bar, only to be told they were out of Blenders Pride by 9:30 PM. On a Saturday night? That’s basic stock management gone wrong.
Then came the confusing bar menu experience. The waiter actually insisted we decide how many pegs we were going to drink upfront because only then we’d be given a certain rate. Who does that? It’s ridiculous to expect guests to decide their entire order before even settling in. The pricing for single, 6-pegs, and 12-pegs was all over the place and made no sense at all.
The hospitality was shockingly poor. Since we had two young kids, we requested Wi-Fi so they could watch cartoons while the adults had dinner. There was no mobile network coverage, and the Wi-Fi was denied. The reason? According to the manager, sharing Wi-Fi would crash their system. Honestly, it was laughable—we actually joked about it being the “joke of the year.” This level of excuse-making is unprofessional at best.
If all this wasn’t enough, the waiter later rushed us to make the payment, standing by our table repeatedly asking “Google Pay ya cash?” When I asked for 5 minutes, his response was: “Jaldi karo, mujhe bhi ghar nikalna hai.” Absolutely unacceptable. We were still wrapping up our night and he made it feel like we were being kicked out. If there’s a rule that bills must be settled before midnight, then inform guests clearly in advance—not after pressuring them in the middle of their meal.
As for the food, it was bland, overpriced, and underwhelming. For a bill of ₹8500, we expected much better quality and taste. It felt like basic food dressed up with fancy pricing.
In short, Agrezi Dhaba completely ruined our Saturday night outing. Poor service, rude staff, lack of basic amenities, and average food at inflated prices.
Angrezi Dhaba, A Restaurant known for its Authentic and Delicious North Indian Food has been Impressing People since the Very Day of their Opening as their Food Highly Lives up to their Customers Expectations🤌 We were a Group of Corporates who visited here on a Weekday and the Vibe here is Flawless. It literally gives 90’s Bollywood Theme Vibes with that “Angrez Touch”
They have An ‼️VALUE OFFER‼️ Going on, from Monday to Thursday, Drink Unlimited Alcohol at 999/- for 2 Hours😍
Coming to What we Ordered:-
Chicken Tikka Satay with Thai Spicy Peanut Sauce:- This was Regular Chicken Tikka which was Served with Skewers and the Thai Spicy Peanut Sauce was the Real Gamechanger, it made a Classic Dish a Great Fusion Dish🤤
Paneer Cheesy Kalimiri Tikka:- The Paneer here was Soo Soft and Creamy and along with Cheese and Blackpepper, the taste was taken to another level. Although not Spicy, it was not Bland Either👌
Main Course:-
Paneer Peshawari:- This was a Yellow Colour Gravy which was a Great Change from the Regular Tomato Based Curries usually used in Indian Dishes. Could say it was Close to a Paneer Pasanda Gravy but a Lighter Version. Absolutely loved it while it got dunk in a Crispy and Buttery Naan🙌
Butter Chicken:- Coming to a Dhaba and not ordering Butter Chicken, how could that be? This was honestly the Best One I’ve had in Recent Times, Pair it with a Cheese Butter Garlic Naan to make the Joyful Calories more Worth It🤌🤤
With our Mains and Beverage, we also ordered a Chakna i.e Masala Khicha, must say it was Really Worth Munching On😅
Beverages:-
Jamaican Thandai:-Had tried this 1st Time at their Dadar Outlet where they made it Extremely Well. However at their Mahakali Outlet, they just didn’t get it right. It was served in a Glass instead of that Colourful Kettle and the Taste just didn’t live up.
Kala Jadoo:- As the Name Suggests, this was Dominated with a Kala Khatta Flavour. Not too Sweet, just the way I like it, it was done just right!
Desserts:-
Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream:- Honestly, one of the Best I’ve had in Recent Times! A Super Gooey, Moist Brownie topped with a Dollop of Vanilla Ice Cream and A Generous Amount of Chocolate Sauce to make it More Extravagant🙌
Overall, Place was Brilliant, Ambience was Good, Service was Great and Food was Top Notch. Perfect Place to visit with Friends, Family or...
Read moreMy experience at Angrezi Dhaba, Mahakali branch, was nothing short of a nightmare. I had gone with my friends to celebrate a birthday, but it turned out to be a disaster from the moment we stepped in. Here's why:
Poor Ambience and Service: The overall atmosphere was uninviting. Dim lighting and an odd smell in the seating area made it uncomfortable. The air conditioning was kept off, and it was only turned on after we asked at times. The staff’s attention to our table was equally disappointing—they were unresponsive, unhelpful, and seemed disinterested in attending to us.
Terrible Seating Arrangement: The seating is congested, and within 10 minutes, we felt cramped. Despite the restaurant being almost completely empty, they charge ₹500 for a table booking. It’s clear that people don’t visit this place much, yet they still have the audacity to impose such unnecessary fees.
Food Availability & Quality: To add to our frustrations, many items which we wanted to order were unavailable, ended up eating average Chinese food. The food we did manage to get was average at best, both in taste and quantity. Not worth the time or money.
Deceptive Practices with Decorations: We were told that the table we wanted had already been booked for another party, and we were asked to pay an extra ₹1,500 for the same table with decorations that were clearly reused from previous events. Ironically, there was no other party during the entire time we were there, meaning the claim was false just to squeeze extra money from us.
Worst Birthday Experience: Charging extra for reused decorations, lying about table bookings, and offering such a poor overall experience made it the worst birthday celebration I’ve ever had. They seem more interested in making quick money than providing any semblance of decent service.
In conclusion, visiting Angrezi Dhaba Mahakali was the worst decision I’ve made. If you’re considering this place for a celebration or even just a meal, I’d advise you to look elsewhere. The restaurant was practically empty, and after this visit, I can clearly see why. Save yourself the headache and skip this...
