CHIMICHURRI — Restaurant in Mumbai

I happened to visit the place last Saturday expecting a great evening. We reserved a table and entered the restaurant at 11 pm. We placed an order for 3 starters, a mocktail and 1 Jagermeister with Red Bull. We received the 3 starters and mocktail. When the 3rd starter was placed on our table 30 minutes later, we reminded the waiter about the Jagermeister. That’s when we were informed that the Jagermeister shot has frozen and they’re trying to unfreeze the drink. About 10 minutes later, the Jagermeister was placed on our table. I poured the drink into my glass and took a sip. While placing the glass down, I noticed a black particle and string like thing (a string which forms when a liquid substance is fermented) floating in the Jagermeister. I immediately summoned a waiter nearby and asked him if he could see the particles. He said yes and took the drink to the bar. We saw FIVE waiters rush to the bar when the drink was returned. Approx. 10 minutes later, the waiter serving our table returns with the same peg and tells me that it wasn’t a black particle, but it was.... wait for it — “ICE”! Any sane person knows the difference between ice and dirt. This response put us off. It’s not difficult to own up that the glass was dirty & the Jagermeister bottle was very old — maybe I was the first customer to call for a Jagermeister in their restaurant.

If we wanted, we could have created a scene when we found the black particle & fermented thread floating in the glass, but we calmly brought it to the attention of the staff. The least we expected in return was to own up & not tell me a black particle is ICE.

The waiter requested that I have a drink but his response of “ICE” put us off. We wanted to finish our food & walk out of the restaurant. But I wasn’t going to take it lightly. So, I asked for a feedback form. In return, I was given a blank A4 sheet as a feedback form. OKAY.

I wrote the incident & gave the feedback form to the manager.

I had heard about Chimichurri- All day Asian Diner quite a lot but yesterday when i finally visited it must say really mesmorised!!!!!!! It is located in the heart of mumbai ANDHERI. Talking about the ambience the moment i entered it had forgetten the outside world. Music being played all over,dim lights giving you the perfect environment to sit relax and spend some quality time eating. Staff was very courteous and helpful in guiding us about their specialities. Once you go here i am sure you wont feel like going out again. KUDDOS TO CHIMICHURRI Talking about the food…… My order was as follows: To start of with Spicy Guava - Which was a Guava based Mocktail perfect start must say!!! Peri Peri Chimichurri- Which is their special Cocktail vodka based and pinch of peri peri was a right combo to set the feeling!!!!! In starters- Tempura Shrimp were too good never expected that shrimps can be prepared and served so well in terms of taste it was just WOW!!!!!!! I am not that SUSHI lover to be honest but Chimichurri Chicken Pakchoy & Mushroom Sushi made me fall in love with it. The taste was quite good with the mixture of chicken and mushroom. In Main course- Cant resist myself from ordering MoMos Tibetian Chicken Momo was our choice from their varities and THUMBs UP👍👍to the chef for cooking it so well. I must say you cant miss this if you visit CHIMICHURRI. To sum up….. we ordered PRAWNS SPICE MUSHROOM RICE it was suggested to us by the staff. Great one must say the gravy was so good in taste, prawns were very tasty with proper mixture of masalas,spices and rice was amazing as welll!!!!! All you Sizzler lovers can give this BOWLS a try they have varities of them in their menu you wont regret it for sure. After a perfect lunch Chocolate Truffle was a perfect one to sum up for the day. Cream tasted so fresh stilll drooling over it. So what are you waiting for????? But i would highly recommend to experience this beautiful restro...
