Hmmm... it was one of those Saturday afternoons, wherein one is feeling indulgent, adventurous and has a lot of time on hand. It was a sheer coincidence that I drove straight from Nature's Basket to this small, Green and cozy cafe located in Oshiwara, snugly placed alongside quite a few other popular cafes. I said coincidence as the owner shared that some of their produce like the cheese, is sourced from Nature's Basket.
So, indulgence, curiosity and a rather inviting ambience took me to this cafe. I lingered a minute outside the cafe as the board stated it caters to vegans, kito diet and their food is gluten free. With due respect to all those who are particular about these, I was not prepared to endure a bland meal and being healthy and fit, never considered these diets either. However, curiosity got the better of me, the door and decor interspersed with a mix of white and green found favour and I walked in. The comfortable seating, quiet atmosphere and a smiling staff immediately reassured me. Within minutes of sitting down, I met Krish, a rather young chap, who introduced himself as the owner and offered to share the inspiration and focus of the cafe. Yes, it is an organic place, where instead of Sugar, they use jaggery and honey. The produce largely is sourced from farmers and locally, he confidently claimed that healthy food need not be bland and this is their usp. I was sold on that and asked him to suggest some of his favourites.
It was again a coincidence that they served pumpkin soup, my favourites and true to his claims, it came in a generous portion with walnuts floating about it and the home baked, multi grain bread, toasted to perfection. The soup was flavourful, yet light and refreshing. For the main course, I tried the highly recommended Pumpkin Risotto and...absolutely delighted in it! Cooked to perfection, with an inviting presentation, the risotto was tasty, warm, light not heavy at all! Completely in appreciation for that, very light and easy on the stomach, it was also predominantly a mild shade of green just like the ambience in the cafe. I ended my meal with a macchiato, and it lived up to some of the best that I have had. So, a warm, friendly conversation with this young owner who is determined to succeed, great food, reasonably good ambience, very courteous staff mostly from north east India and excellent, prompt service made my afternoon. Oh, before I sign off, very easy on the pocket and the generous portion they serve makes up for the penny spent.
Definitely hope to return there to try out their waffles and desserts. Hoping they include freshly brewed French press coffee on their menu... wish this relatively new and cozy place a lot of success. A must visit, regardless of the diet you follow or...

The menu here focuses on fresh and organic food sourced directly from the farmers in the villages. It's an array of organic, vegan and gluten-free spread.
Kheema Pav :
After a long time I have had the best Kheema pav. Healthy, organic and completely delicious, this was a mouth watering dish. The kheema was cooked very well, the amount of oils and spices were less to suit the sensitive stomachs. I prefer my Kheema a little spicy, but if it's this healthy then I don't mind. The Pav served along with it was house made Multigrain pav which was roasted well and had some ghee on top.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Mom's Green Salad :
This is as healthy as a salad can be. Kale leaves, nuts, legumes, lentils, cabbage and a sweet and spicy dressing. All I can say is Wow!!! If you are a salad fan, you must try this.
Grilled Chicken Panini :
Never been a big fan of Paninis. But my sister wanted to try this and I had a bite. The bread is house baked Multigrain and roasted well. The stuffing inside had grilled chicken tossed in kasundi mustard. Served with a salad.
Three Cheese Pizza
More of a flat bread than a pizza, this was elongated and cut into squares. They put house made tomato sauce and gravy and on top three cheeses- Cheddar, Parmesan and Mozzarella. Tastes yumm and crispy. A must try.
Exotic Pumpkin Risotto
Many people I know run away from pumpkin ,including me. But on reccomendation of the owner, i tried this. They use organic pumpkin and brown rice to make the risotto. The sauce is so creamy and cheesy that it didn't feel like eating pumpkin and brown rice. It tasted like the regular risotto but more healthy.

Chia Seed Pudding
This has chia seeds along with mix fruits and custard. I really loved it. The quantity seems huge but it's very very light on the stomach.
Nutella and Maple Waffles :
Their waffles are made with wheat flour and also have egg in it. I tried both the variants available Nutella and Maple Sauce. The outer layer was crispy and the inner layer soft.
All the dishes were very light on the stomach and didn't take much time to digest. I think it's a really good thing that Mrs. Mamta Wadhwani is doing. Overall, i felt healthy while leaving the restaurant and proud of the work that...

The owner, Mrs. Mamta Wadhwani is the brain behind this venture and happily explained to us the concept - they aid the farmers by sourcing fresh and organic ingredients directly from them, and provide them a portion of the cafe's profits. Also, they aim at providing healthy and delicious food without the use of maida, white sugar, preservatives or artificial colours. Coming to what we had here-
Relax Rocktail: So aptly named. The concoction of ginger, lemon and organic honey was indeed relaxing. The ginger flavour comes out really nice without being overwhelming. Recommended!
Green Mint Soother: Mint + Lemon + Organic Jaggery = Perfection. Very refreshing.
Pumpkin Soup: I'm not fond of pumpkin but I can easily have it anyday, it was that delicious! However, if you really can't stand pumpkin, you can avoid this one. It was served with freshly baked almond flour bread.
Chicken Coriander Soup: It was like a warm hug in a bowl! So healthy and so delicious. Go for this one.
Hummus Platter: Presentation on point- colourful, nice plating. Arabic style hummus and carrot hummus with lavash, falafels and carrot sticks. Very healthy, but taste was highly average.
Grilled Chicken Panini: This one was surprisingly good! Strong punch of mustard. Generously stuffed with juicy grilled chicken along with lettuce, capsicum, onion and mustard sauce. Worked well for me.
Veg Mexican Bowl: Probably the best main course for vegetarians here. They indianized the Mexican bowl made up of kidney beans, brown rice, bell peppers, zucchini and mushroom with tomato based gravy. The dish looked lovely with avocado slices on top.
Fusion Saucy Penne: Penne pasta with lots of veggies, parmesan cheese and pink sauce. Tasted great, but nothing extraordinary.
Keto Chocolate Brownie: No white sugar. No maida. Made with almond flour and Sugar free. Tasted quite like a normal brownie. Health enthusiasts can try it for sure!
Classic Brownie: This tasted better than the keto version, softer and richer. Low on sugar too- just the way I like it!
The ambience here is very cozy and true to its name- green. I found it really inviting and a soothing place to dine in. We received warm hospitality too. Relaxing playlist. Prices were too steep for the quantity given, but the food and service...
