Gupta Bhelpuri House near Malad West station is an absolute gem for street food lovers! If you’re a fan of bhel, sev puri, and sandwiches, this is the place to visit. I’ve been coming here for years, and it truly serves the best bhel in Mumbai – flavorful, fresh, and consistently amazing.
Their pattice sandwich is an absolute standout – a unique specialty that’s loaded with flavor and incredibly satisfying. The sev puri is another must-try; it’s perfectly balanced with the crunch, tang, and spice that hits all the right notes.
What’s even better is that they stay open till midnight, making it a go-to spot for late-night cravings. I recently found out that even actor Vicky Kaushal is a fan of this place, which just goes to show how iconic it is!
If you’re in Malad West and craving some authentic, delicious street food, Gupta Bhelpuri House is a must-visit....
Read moreGupta Pani Puri is one of the old chat shop and very famous in Malad. It's been a decade or more I'm visiting this place for Chat. Although they have increased their prices for all chat items and now they have started Token system but still they have not regulated everything. People are coming in between taken or giving tokens placing their orders not following line. In my case the next person took the order for her neighbour too after placing her order she took extra tokens for her neighbour when her order was completed. The line discipline and the tokens with number system should be provided to improvise. Everything looks like messed up. One can say that they to not follow or serve hygienically but everyone ignores as this is a chat item and you cannot work efficiently without dipping your hand in the pot to serve Pani-Puri which is one of the best and big...
Read moreI recently visited Gupta Bhelpuri House for the first time, and here's my honest review.
Their bhel, dahipuri, and other chaats have a unique flavor - a smoky flavor that might not appeal to everyone, including me. If you're not a fan of smoky flavors, you will not enjoy their chaats.
The paani puri counter was a major letdown. With only one counter serving a huge crowd of at least 15+ people, the experience was chaotic. By the time I got my second puri, I had almost forgotten the taste of the first one. To improve, they should consider setting up an additional counter dedicated to paani puri.
Overall, I'd give Gupta Bhelpuri House 2/5 stars. I deducted one point for the overpowering smoky flavor in their chaats and another two points for the disappointing paani puri experience. Despite this, it's still a good place...
