Hot Spot Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Mumbai

Dear [Manager/Hotspot Team],

I’m writing to express my disappointment following a very unpleasant experience at your establishment on 4th July, around 8 PM.

My friend and I ordered a beer, which was served properly. Following that, we ordered 2x 180ml Bacardi rum. Unfortunately, the rum appeared to be diluted with water. Since it was served in a glass, we didn’t notice at first. However, by the time we began our second quarter, we realized something wasn’t right — the rum lacked its usual taste and strength.

To verify, we tasted the drink without any mixer and confirmed that it was not proper. We informed the waiter immediately, requested that the first quarter be removed from the bill, and asked for the second quarter to be replaced, which was then served properly. I’ve also retained samples of both the initial and replacement servings for reference.

We requested to speak with the manager three times, but no one came to address our concern. It was only during billing that I finally managed to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, he was dismissive and refused to acknowledge the issue, insisting that no mistake had been made on their part.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I’ve never encountered a situation where a restaurant would dilute alcohol and try to deceive its customers. To make matters worse, the manager's rude and unprofessional attitude made the situation even more frustrating.

I will not be returning to your establishment and will be sharing this experience with others to ensure...

Recently redone up place. Pretty spacious and very good ambience. Well light and clean. Even on week ends I am optimistic you will get place to sit in no time et all. Has three sections. An outer under the sky dhaba style. A non AC bar and restaurant. An AC bar and restaurant clubbed with the non AC section. The place isn't visible from outside but once u are in, you will be amazed with the space they have. The staff is well dressed and we'll mannered. They are always there at your beck and call. Coming to food, the choice is enormous and you just can't fathom what to choose. We called for chicken adraki, masala papad and paneer chilly for starters. Was pretty good. Next on menu was chicken cripsy, mushroom masala, butter nans and prawns biryani. Every thing was excellent. Food gets a plus mark here and the quantity is enough on every dish to share between three ppl. You can get any and almost every liquor here. Will recommend this place for family outings. The crowd is decent and we'll mannered not to bother families here. Bit high on the pocket but again, It's worth your time and money. Do visit and share your experience....

I'm writing this review after more than 10 visits.

The staff here is too good to work as servers. Waiters don't pay attention to their guests because they are too busy daydreaming. When they do hear you and bring you your order they will wander off into oblivion never to be seen. Also on confronting them you will only get curt responses. I've been to cheaper resto-bars that had better waiters than these chumps. The food is ok. Again, had better food in cheaper restaurants. This situation was so bad for me that instead of getting annoyed, I started finding it kind of funny. Never seen a restaurant staff that was so unprofessional and mismanaged. The only reason why they get customers is because of their prime location and no immediate competition. All in all, if you enjoy the feeling of being abandoned and rejected, this is the best place to be. Trust me. No amount of ambience and dhaba interiors is worth...
