After ages we ( my family) decieded to head out together for a meal. After short listing a couple of places, we chose the nearest one- Aple Samadhan ( which specialises in Malvani cuisine) even though we traditionally hail from the Kokan region and consume Malvani food almost daily.

Located on the main crossroad. Technically it is so strategically located that you can't miss. But somehow because of the exteriors many people do.

The hoarding say " Ekda chakun paha( taste it once)". (Honestly, ekda is more than enough)

They have both Ac and non AC arrangement. As we entered in we were rushed to sit inside but we wanted to sit out.

When we reached there, just 1 other table was occupied. We ordered #bombilfry and 4 #samadhanspecialthalis. ~The boneless bombil fry came in after 15 mins. Crisp, perfectly fried with an equally delicious chutney. After 30 mins the thalis came in. The only difference in the thalis was that 2 were chicken gravy and the other 2 were mutton but the rest was the same. ~ The Samadhan thali consisted of- •Chicken masala- Tasted more like chicken in fish gravy with some pieces cooked well while the others half cooked. •Mutton masala- Not the tradition mutton curry. But it was still ok. Again the same issue remained some pieces were well done while some weren't •The mushi masala (baby shark curry)- One essential part of fish gravy is pre marination of the fish but when that does happen or isn't done right the flavour of the curry changes and that's exactly what happened with this one. ~ All the 3 gravies tasted quiet similar with slight differences. Each one had 2 pieces only. •Javla fry- Cooked well but lacked the intense flavours. •kolambi chutney- Well made. •Surmai fry- good but lacked flavour. •Solkadi- Comparatively good. A little more kokum and coriander would have made it perfect. • Prawn rice- The biggest disappointment. It was prawn curry mixed with rice. Had to parcel it home cause none of us could have it. •The green chutney- Beautifully made. Perfect texture and taste •The onion and piece of lemon

Service- While 4 people manned the Ac section just 1 was handling the outside area with occasional help of another. We had to wait for water for over...

Apala Ramadan is a hidden gem that offers a delightful culinary experience centered around seafood, showcasing the rich flavors of Marathi cuisine. Located in a vibrant neighborhood, this restaurant truly stands out for its commitment to authenticity and quality.

Seafood lovers will find themselves in paradise at Apala Ramadan. The menu boasts a wide variety of dishes that highlight the freshest catches of the day. From succulent fish curries to spicy prawn masalas, each dish is a testament to the culinary prowess of Marathi cuisine.

One of the standout features of Apala Ramadan is its dedication to authenticity. The flavors are bold and robust, transporting diners to the coastal regions of Maharashtra with every bite. Whether you're a fan of traditional Malvani cuisine or looking to explore new seafood delights, this restaurant has something for everyone.

The ambiance at Apala Ramadan is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a meal with family and friends. The staff members are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.

While the seafood offerings at Apala Ramadan are truly exceptional, I would have rated it higher if there had been more variety in the non-seafood options on the menu. Nevertheless, the quality of the seafood dishes more than makes up for this minor shortfall.

In conclusion, Apala Ramadan is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of Marathi cuisine, particularly when it comes to seafood. With its authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and friendly service, it's a dining destination worthy of a...

This place is near to my home and i have visited this place many times in past but recently two days back when i visited it was complete disappointment, first it was waiting of 20 mins to get the table later 15 mins to take the order , while taking order we came to know King fish , Bombay duck, Crabs are not available , this was not disclose during our waiting time, i would have left the hotel . Later attitude of order taking guy have completely changed , he was frustrated when asked when we can get our food he was like 20 mins more and he can’t do anything until n unless kitchen support doesn’t make the thalis ready , we were not happy with the way he was handling customers.

All thalis came were cold, ordered bhakari came with chapati , when asked for chapati waiter said Bhakari will take time, when we raised our voice counter guy came and asked waiter to deliver bhakari immediately, and actually it came in less than minute which was surprising. We ordered Special chicken thali , guy forgot to delivered Chicken pakoda and boiled egg when raised the issue he said sir i ll get for you or else i will parcel it for you. He brought that later that too cold egg n pakoda too.

Experience was frustrating this time ,food quality and service were quite better when i visited two months back but now pathetic .

Google must keep zero rating options, have to give one star , this hotel is not worth...

Good & pocket friendly place for Kokani/Malwani Veg/Non Veg food lovers, here you will get chicken Wade,Fish Thalis (during this period of monsoon you would only get pomfret, Prawns & Mackerel thalis) along with Veg, Chicken, Mutton etc. thalis, Veg thali is overwhelmed with variety vegitables sprouts, leafy vegetable & seasonal veggies which also includes Kothimbir wadi & gulab jamun, we had Chicken Wade, Pomfret Thali & Veg thali, in appetizers they have chicken pakoda, prawns fry, chicken soup , there were few options to choose from, In the main course we had prawns chutney(thik masala) which was a surprisingly good, goes best with rice bhakri, bhakri was very soft, then it was time for reputable Wade-Chicken, although the size & texture of Wade was good, I felt the taste could have been better, also it was very oily from the outside, Chicken gravy was okay, Chicken soup was very much like home cooked style, finally in the desert you will get Gulab Jamun, Gajar Halwa & their speciality Puran Poli, unfortunately Puran Poli was out of stock hence we couldn't taste it but they insisted us to visit again just to taste Puran Poli 😊. Finally ending it with the very famous Kokan's own digestive beverage - Solkadhi. Edit:- recently visited again and had mutton special thali, it was a bit disappointing 😔 Also they have a 10% discount on the bill for the Teachers fraternity, which is a good initiative.

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at Hotel Apala Samadhan was so disappointing, I had to say something. This place might have a big name, but that’s about all it has going for it. The service is absolutely pathetic. The staff were rude from the moment I arrived — no greeting, no basic courtesy, just cold stares and careless behavior. When I tried to ask for help, they acted like I was disturbing them. The food was even worse. It was cold, tasted awful, and clearly made without any effort. When I complained, they brushed it off and offered me a ₹100 discount, like that would somehow make up for the disgusting meal and the way I was treated. What really shocked me was how they behaved when there weren’t many customers around. Instead of being more attentive, they got even more careless and arrogant — like they couldn’t care less whether you stayed or walked out. The manager? Useless. He just stood around, watching everything, not lifting a finger to help or fix anything. Honestly, this place is a joke. They’ve completely lost touch with what hospitality means. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone — you’re better off sleeping in your car.
