Gandhi Darshan Museum — Attraction in Mumbai

A historical museum located in Borivali. It is visited by locals tourists. This museum is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. This historical hut like structure served as the place where Mahatma Gandhi stayed for a week and started a constructive program there. It showcases chronological events and rare artifacts like photographs, books & replicas of personal belongings related to Mahatma Gandhi's work and life. There is a caretaker that collects the entrance fee and acts like a guide. One can view the picture gallery dedicated to the Indian freedom movement opened only by the caretaker. The entrance fee is Rs. 2 per person. This museum is open from 10.30 am to 5 pm from Monday to Saturday. It is closed on Sundays. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the museum. This museum needs to be maintained as the interior shows a dusty look and a few cracks on the wall. One can purchase Khadi Gram Udyog products near the entrance. However, it was less crowded as most of the tourists cannot locate the museum due to non availability of a signboard showing direction towards it. The museum mostly comprises of photos which depicts the life events of Mahatma Gandhi The artifacts which is available in the pictures are the only ones available Do not visit if you are not a history lover Visit if you love to know about events that has taken place in the life of Mahatma Gandhi School students will be able to relate, as they have lessons based on those events.

At a max you can spend 2 hours (only if you read all the stories written under the pictures)
