The quality of a restaurant is judged by the cheapest and most frequently ordered recipe.
First day, I ordered masala dosa. It was not crunchy where it supposed to be. It's filling was so simple there was only potato brutally meshed up like liquid bhaji. See the snapshot and enjoy. It cost me only 80 rupees to realise that I must review the place to save many innocent foody souls.
Second time: I decided to order next simplest thing, that was simple daal, naan and steamed rice. It was way better experience than the first day. Quantity wise dal is less than rice. Qualitiwise rice and dal both were good. Naan went soft chewy from crunchy after a while. Service is fast, my serving person was friendly and have given me good suggestions.
Third time: after 2nd encouraging experience, I decided to order little more conventional but adventurous option, steamed rice and chanaa masala. Gravy was not too thick but also it was not lite. It was juicy tasty. Rice as usual were good in quantity and quality. Unusually, I suffered gastric problem in the early morning.
4th time: ordered Allo palak and roti. Both were a good combination and delicious. It's a risk eating spinach in rainy session but I wanted to eat green. Roti is made of atta (not maida) in tandoor and was perfect crunchy.
Why it's running, yet: ask Bombay hospital patient's relatives and attendees.
Where are the need of improvement: service needs to be slower than it is, Customer cannot compromise for taste, he/she/it can wait. Best advice ask costumer if he/she has time. Take your time for preparing, serve accordingly. Learn from reviews, ask for feedbacks,...
Read moreThe restaurant is Located just opposite Libert Cinemas and is really a nice restaurant serving some really good food and a major advantage is that it is at walking distance from the marine lines railway station. A mere 10 mins walk.
We had ordered a Chole Bhature and Puri Bhaji since we wanted to have something light and filling. The waiters here are friendly and being weekday we got our order really fast in almost 15 mins. The taste of the food was really nice and the taste was awesome. The Potato sabzi and the chole both were medium spiced which was a good thing. Although the potato sabzi did contain very finely chopped chillies but that was fine and could be removed.
The puri bhaji contained 3 puris but they were large enough. The chole Bhature had only a single bhatura but it was huge and it was literally more than the diameter of the plate itself. But this is a drawback of the restaurant. The quantity of food is not as much as they charge for the food and being in marine lines the rates are on a bit higher side then they should have been. And even if the rates are higher they should serve more quantity of food on each plate.
Apart from the quantity, the restaurant was really good and you are sure to be delighted with the taste and quality of food. They also have a Liberty fast food and Juice center adjoining the restaurant where you can enjoy fast food and fresh...
Read moreLiberty serves good food at a very economical rate which is not tht common for South Indian restaurants in Mumbai,i had ordered their masala dosa which was the right amount on thickness with the perfect crisp at the sides with a softer centre, the potato mash has a tasty masala which is quite soft with not much lumps of potatoes,it was served with a sambhar and coconut chutney which was tasty. We also ordered theedu vada which has a very crispy exterior and was soft and cooked from inside. We also tried the veg Patti samosa which surprised me a little considering the fact tht the filling was of beans and carrot and a few other vegetables instead of poha and onions like how others usually serve but it wasn't tht bad except the Patti could be a bit better. But i would recommend trying this restaurant the service...
