Sterling Cinema, located in the bustling Fort area of Mumbai, is a historic cinema known for its retro charm and modern facilities. It has a three screens, offering a great movie-watching experience with a mix of mainstream Bollywood films, regional cinema, and international releases too! The theatre often caters to a diverse crowd, showing a blend of popular blockbusters and niche films, attracting moviegoers of all tastes. Ticket prices at Sterling Cinema are reasonably priced, typically ranging from ₹200 to ₹500, depending on the showtime and seating options. Parking in the Fort area can be challenging, and while there are limited parking spaces available near the cinema, it's often best to rely on public transport or use nearby parking lots. The parking charges in the area can vary upto ₹100/- per hour or around ₹500/- day. This venue offers snacks like popcorn, samosas, and soft drinks. Read moreThe theatre is average for a multiplex and I like only 1 of the 3 screens that they have. The other 2 screens have all seats at the same level and there is no elevation so beware if someone your height or taller is sitting in front of you, you are gonna have a head in between half the screen at all times.
It used to be a decently priced multiplex compared to the 2 other multiplexes in South Mumbai namely Inox and Metro which are way overpriced. Sadly now even Sterling has hyped up their rates so much that there isn't much difference in the prices of it compared to the other two. I feel the ticket prices for Sterling are not worth the theatre as the interiors and ambience is pretty inferior to that of the high end multiplexes.
The charges of the food at pretty reasonable as compared to that of other multiplexes in the vicinity and they even have a small food court from where you can pick up food at regular rates.
Lastly the theatre is at walking distance from CST Station which is not CSMT which is a central and harbour line station where a few western line trains...
Read moreWatched son of sardar 2 here, the movie was decent, it had good comedy and jokes. But yeah I only watched it because it starred Mrunal Thakur, man she's so gorgeous, beautiful and cute and she even posseses great acting skills. But yeah the theatre not at all good, the color reproduction, accuracy and depth is just flat bad the contrast is also not that great. The seating arrangement is weird the Theatre is literally like in a straight line it's not at all wide and if the person ahead of you doesn't recline their seat then you won't even be able to see the whole screen , screen is also small. Idk why did they do this probably they didn't had enough space then. But yeah the theatre sucks so don't go there unless the movie is trash or you don't care about the movie and you just go to the theatre to see a specific actor/actress like me, in my case Mrunal Thakur. Kudos...
