Lots and lots of disappointment and trouble.

I had my marriage function booked at M.I.G club banquet hall and i think it was the worst mistake of my life to book such an important event of my life at such an unprofessional place! While booking the banquet hall we were told to book the rooms for changing one week before marriage as there was some renovation work going on which was supposed to get over by Dec'15. I had my marriage in Mar'16.The day we went to book the rooms we were told that no room is available. I was almost in tears as a bride needs a changing room! And the worst part is that the lady at the reception was not even ready to help. We came to know from outside sources that one room was available and then we requested for the room by taking help of members reference.Only after lot of request one room was provided. My husband had to pay extra and book another small banquet and use it as changing room. The food and soft drinks charges are given in the pamphlet. Nothing was mentioned about drinking water. So we assumed that drinking water charges are included in the food charges. Just two days before the marriage when went to check the arrangements...we generally asked about the arrangement of drinking water. Being a well known club we thought that they would serve bottled water in sealed bottles. But to ur dismay and shock we were told that water shall be served in glasses and one big mineral water bottle with tap shall be kept from where the guests shall have to take the water themselves!!!. Bottled water shall be charged extra @ Rs.25 per person. Nothing of this sort was told us before nor was anything such mentioned in the food charges pamphlet.Had we not asked about this...we would have been served water in typical used glasses!!!! We had no choice and had to pay the extra charges for bottled water. The worst thing is that the people handling the banquet and food arrangements are just not bothered to help you. There is no option for negative rating.Hence the one star. I do not wish to give...

Dear FB Friends and Family Wished to bring to your kind notice the unethical practices that are going on at The M I G Cricket Club , Gandhi Nagar, Bandra East and which boasts of members like Udhav Thakeray and Family.....Rak Thakeray......Sachin Tendulkar and the list is endless. One has to take the help of a member for availing their halls for functions............ I had also booked the Galaxy Hall on the 16th of September for a function to be held in my family on the 1st of December....... A week ago exactly 3 weeks before the function i get a call from the member saying that my booking had been cancelled due to the Clubs AGM which they have kept on the 1st of December. My meeting with the Secy Mr Barve came to naught.........I was given an option of taking the leftover of a Hall which was more like an open Gallery of the Wankhede................ When I took my family to see the place, the person for whom I had arranged the function was literally shocked and in tears............ The Invites were printed with the MIG address...........two weeks to go...........what the hell was I supposed to do with marriage season on????? I was not advised that my booking may be bumped off for any function the MIG might deem fit to have at the time of my booking........ The Club wishes to have the cake and eat it too.......they want to let out the halls and earn a pretty packet and when they so wish they just bump you off causing unlimited anguish and agony to people who have meticulously planned a party. No ethics....no moral responsibility.......no emotions for causing pain........no nothing...... I hope some of you who are remotely or directly involved with MIG take a moral stand and help to avoid such incidents from happening to any one in the future..............Thank You...........Please share...
