This review is for Ministry of Jokes management and not the venue. The venue itself is a smallish basement within a cafe called Love & Latte, it would be more helpful to locate this place if thatâs mentioned here on Google Maps.
Anyways, moving on to Ministry of Jokesâ management well as their name suggests is a joke. I feel itâs a reasonable expectation that the lineup presented at the time of booking would be accurate.
We book tickets the same morning as the show (26 April) looking at the poster on Book My Show which showed - Joel Dsouza, Siddhartha Shetty, Muhammed Hussain and Sharon Sharma. By afternoon the poster updates, with Siddhartha Shetty and Muhammed Hussain removed while the other two remained same. In the show, Sharon Verma isnât in the lineup. So basically from the morning poster (looking at which we booked) only one artist was present- Joel Dsouza. I feel cheated as at the time of selling tickets you display 4 artists, looking at which we booked but the actual show has only 1 out of these 4. Imagine you are paying for a certain artist and they are not in the show at all.
If at all there are changes in the lineup, at least call or email and check with your guests if they are cool with it. Nothing about a change is announced at the start of the show either.
To make things worst, we arrive on time for the 9:30 Saturday show and were amongst the initial 3-5 guests. The host takes our name and number and asks us to wait outside (at least let us in and allow us to occupy our preferred seats). The admissions into the venue starts after 20 mins of the scheduled 9:30 and those who came after us were allowed to enter first and occupy the better seats.
The sound wasnât good but being a small place, at least the artist was audible. All in all itâs an avoid for me personally. I felt my time was wasted and would avoid this management going ahead. There are plenty of venues in Juhu and Bandra that I would happily go to (they at least call if there are last moment changes). For those visiting here, I suggest you proactively call them and confirm...
Read moreWas looking for a place to hangout in Juhu, that wasn't too chaotic. Luck be it, I found MOG on Google and so glad that I did. Fun, relaxing and the service was impeccable! Located in the basement of Love and Latte, Ministry of Games is a perfect escape into the world of board games, be it just 2 people or a big group of friends. The rates are hourly based and quite reasonable. The staff ensures to not only provide you great food and drinks but also helps out with understanding the games at every step. From recommendations based on your likes to explaining the rules really well, they do a superb job. Polite, professional and helpful, they make sure to be around incase you need anything at any point during your designated hours. As for the drinks, their lemon iced was delicious and the aam panna mojito was quite good too! I'll be going there...
Read moreHad a gala time with friends. Went twice, the first time was a sunday wherein the employee was very helpful and second time a weekday wherein the employee was not really enthu. However, thanks to the Sunday experience, we learnt new games..also 7pm Sunday is housie time where if you win you would have chance to get discount coupons for breakfast and MOG joints. They have a tons of board games, however you need to spend more than 2 hours minimum to make the most of it. Happy boardgaming!!!đ kept one star back for the the scope of improvement...
