What Bandra is to Western, Powai is to Central! When you are all clueless about what to have and what not to, where to have and where not to; just land into Powai and stand right at the Central Avenue! You'll be awestruck to see the choices you have! I always associated the number '101' with the Dalmatians cartoon until 'No. 101' got recently opened at quite a familiar spot in Powai, just besides Sigree Global Grill and Aromas. The place is brightly lit and fairly crowded. The interiors have a touch of Desi Indian look with clay pots and metal boxes. Speaking of food, you get a variety of options to choose in both Veg and Non Veg. Starters : Herbs and Spices Coated Burnt Potatoes and Masala Papadum Main Course : Masala Paneer and Nan/Roti Drinks : Beer pints and Mocktails I would lie if I say that the food was awesome. But yes, it was decent, worth the price, ambiance and locality! As the name suggests, rates are in the denomination of 51s and 101s. On an average, I thought of giving a 3 on 5 but +0.5 for the service they provide! Fast and not furious! :P -0.5 for keeping just Gulab Jamuns in dessert. When you have a bar and a dessert menu too, make sure that you have a well decided dessert menu! I guess I am pointing out at quite a few downsides knowing the fact that I visited the place alone but then, when it's FOOD, you are never really...

The staircase to reach the resto is creatively adorned by bollywood dialogues and quirky paraphernalia. Loved the lit up cycle! Getting a table on a Saturday eve was tough...took us 15-20mins to get in...and we got one of those semi circled comfy sofa table for our group. Excellent cocktails..esp the Long island ice tea versions. Try the lemon lynchberg long island ice tea...it packed in quite the punch. As for food, the sea food platter was replete with all the usual suspects - prawns tandoori and fish fries. All of them were cooked pretty good with the right sauces as well...went well with our drinks. The mutton seekh kebabs were juicy, although proportion cudve been more. For main course, we chose the recommended mutton dum biryani to satiate our rice hunger pangs.. The biryani was delicious, cooked with the right spices and aromas. The mutton was soft n juicy. Very much recommended. For desserts, we attacked the malpuas with rabdi and supremely superb shahi tukdas with sliced gulab jaamuns and pista toppings.. The desserts were EPIC to say the least and should be tried everytime u have a meal at this place. Although it was quite a pricey affair in the end, but without a doubt - a very satisfying, perfect...

The show stopper of the restaurant is their shahi tudka,a perfect desert that will leave you in aww before leaving.
Food - Murg biryani - 4/5 The biryani was good, spices were apt and the quantity is good enough for two. Bharwa khumb - 4/5 If you are a fan of mushrooms, you will like it else dont opt for the dish. Shahi Tukda - 5/5 A perfect desert. Perfect amount of sweetness. A must try LIT - 5/5 It was 1+1,and the LIT was kinda hitting and had good amount of alcohol.
Price - It was okay in price as the quantity of the main course served was sufficient for two without any need for starters.
