As soon as you step into this charming restaurant, you're enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor, complete with exposed brick walls and dim lighting from wrought-iron chandeliers, creates a cozy and intimate ambiance. The soft background music and the gentle hum of conversation create a relaxing ambiance, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date night or a casual gathering with friends. The attentive staff adds to the welcoming vibe, ensuring that every guest feels right at home.
Appetizers:
Dynamite Shrimp - These shrimp pack some serious heat and flavor! The succulent shrimp are coated in a crispy, spicy batter that delivers an explosive punch of chili and garlic in every bite. But don't worry, the heat is balanced beautifully by the creamy sauce they're covered with. An absolute must-try appetizer!
Handmade Chicken Dumplings - You can really taste the love and care that went into making these delicate dumplings. The wrappers have the perfect texture - thin yet delightfully chewy. And the filling is an umami-rich blend of juicy chicken, vegetables, and aromatic seasonings. They're served piping hot with a tangy dipping sauce that complements the flavors exquisitely.
Cocktails:
Asian Pear Mojito - This creative spin on the classic mojito is so refreshing! The gentle sweetness of ripe Asian pears pairs beautifully with tart lime and fragrant mint. The vodka gives it just the right kick while retaining a lovely smooth, almost creamy texture. It's crisp, aromatic, and goes down way too easily!
Midnight in Shanghai - This cocktail is dark, mysterious, and utterly sophisticated. The deep, sultry flavors of black tea, aged rum, and aromatic bitters make for a decadent, spirit-forward sipper. Yet it remains beautifully balanced with a hint of citrus and sweetness. Each sip conjures up visions of hidden speakeasies and jazz-filled nights.
Tokyo Mule - A zesty, invigorating take on the Moscow Mule! The pairing of crisp ginger beer with bright citrusy yuzu and honeyed sake makes for a bracing, effervescent cocktail. It has this incredible floral, slightly tart flavor profile that keeps you coming back sip after sip. The ideal refreshment on a warm day.
Mains:
Kung Pao Shrimp with Chang's Fried Rice - This entree is an absolute showstopper! The succulent shrimp are wok-tossed in a gloriously sticky, spicy kung pao sauce loaded with crunchy peanuts, bell peppers, and chilies. It's got that perfect balance of sweet, sour, and heat. And the fried rice is the ideal accompaniment - each grain is fluffy yet has a satisfying chew and rich umami flavors from the eggs, chicken, and vegetables folded in. A completely addictive combo!
Dessert:
The Great Wall of Chocolate - Oh. My. Goodness. This dessert is pure, unabashed chocolate indulgence! A towering stack of moist chocolate cake layers interspersed with rich chocolate frosting and gooey chocolate ganache. But wait, there's more - it's drizzled with even more chocolate sauce, then sprinkled with and chocolate bits for decadent crunch. This is the dessert all chocolate lovers dream about. Absolutely sinful in the best way!
And the ambiance of this modern Asian restaurant is just as enticing as the food and drinks! The stylish mix of contemporary and traditional decor elements creates such an inviting, Zen-like atmosphere. I love the warm wood tones, the pops of crimson, and the artful lighting. Yet it still feels laid-back and not at all stuffy. The perfect respite to linger over flavorful cuisine and creative cocktails with friends or a date.
Overall, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its delectable dishes, refreshing drinks, and inviting ambiance. Whether you're in the mood for a light bite or a hearty meal, there's something on the menu to satisfy every craving. It's a true gem that's sure to leave a lasting impression. Read moreVisited the renowned PF Changs after 15 years with their first outlet in Mumbai and was delighted to be greeted by their signature mascot horse at the entrance! The staff was cheerful, and their customer service was outstanding. HUGE shout out to Jameer, who was serving our table, for going above and beyond in ensuring his customers are experiencing nothing but the best. Loved the decor of the interiors.. red gold themes with a beautiful cherry blossoms tree 🌸 that enhanced the vibe of the ambiance.
I started my meal with the dynamite chicken ,if you are someone who loves a mayo-based sauce, you will appreciate the spicy aioli coating the dynamite chicken. It may look deceivingly small as it's served in a cocktail glass, but this glass was packed to the brim and beyond, and the appetizer was extremely filling for 2 people.
I enjoyed the subtle balance of the handmade chicken dumplings. I requested for the pan-fried variant. It was served by pouring over a light dipping soy that crackled the sear of the dumpling - creating an enticing audio-visual experience. The filling was a juicy succulent chicken mince - and when paired with the dipping sauces it tasted delightful.
When it came to the mains I absolutely savored the Dali chicken which comprised of tender chicken slivers, slender crispy potato slices, and spring onions. The dish was saucy with a sweet and spicy chili hit. It was my pick for "dish of the day". I was feeling bold and paired this with spicy kimchi fried rice. this is my first go at attempting kimchi rice and I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy tangy dimension of flavor added by the kimchi and wasabi mayo. I appreciated their generosity with the chicken chunks and edamame in the rice. It was a unique combination .
One caveat regarding their rice dishes, I'd suggest asking the crew if it contains their internationally sourced egg oil - It has a distinct and unique flavor - and may not suit your palate if you're unfamiliar with it. Also, the rice served here is a bit more on the saucy side (quite like done internationally) so if you are someone who prefers it dry, do check with the staff for recommendations/adjustments.
And finally, for the dessert - as someone who loves cheesecake, I could not resist their pretty plate of simple cheesecake with berries on the side with Raspberry coulis. It was a little less moist than I anticipated, but it was delicious nonetheless.
The mocktails absolutely stood out! I asked them to tailor their drinks a little bit by adding honey instead of sugar syrup and I was extremely grateful that they accommodated my request. The jade mojito was a green-apple based mocktail that I recommend if you are looking to feel a fresh, tangy beachy vibe to pair with your meal on a sunny day. The house-made ginger beer mocktail was topped with candied ginger. As a ginger lover, it is absolutely rocked, and the herby freshness of mint only made it better. The strawberry cucumber limeade was yet another light refreshing mocktail that was very balanced in its sweetness and easy on your palate.
All in all - a filling afternoon lunch! I took my time to enjoy it wholeheartedly and left with a wonderful memory of a beautiful day. The dumplings, Dali chicken, and mocktails were top-notch! When I go back to PF changs, I look forward to trying their lettuce wraps, Zen-Garden mocktail, as well as explore their variety of noodles. A good addition to the wonderful line of restaurants in that part of town...
Read moreAn absolute Asian Affair! Been to PF Chang’s yesterday for lunch and I have to say that this place has really impressed us. This could easily top my list of Asian favourites in the town. Talking about the ambience it’s seamlessly blending elegance with warmth. The subtle Asian accents and touches make it even more beautiful. Whether you are on a date or planning to visit with your friends this place will leave you coming back again. Coming to the F&B, I was honestly blown with the wide array of food and drink options they have to offer. From their bar we ordered Asian pear mojito which was a twist to our standard mojito as this one had that subtle Asian pear flavour to it. Also had midnight in shanghai which was gin base cocktail having blue pea tea in it. “Fabulous” if I have to sum it up in a word. The best part about this one was not just the presentation but also the taste. The gin and blue pea notes were pretty evident and it had that perfect oomph to it. For our teetotaller friends we ordered zen garden and Samurai fizz. Both these were again very well presented and had right amount of sweetness in it. They were refreshing and making it an ideal choice to quench your thirst on a hot afternoon. For the appetisers we tried The original dynamite shrimp which was hands down amazing! Perfectly crisp tempura coating from outside and juicy from inside. The shrimp were evenly coated with the sriracha aioli and if I have to comment on the presentation then they were absolutely gram worthy as they were served in a martini glass. Next up we had changs chicken lettuce wraps as it was recommended to us by the server and we have to give it a ten. Perfectly seasoned minced chicken served with lettuce. Pretty unique and something we would definitely have again. From their dumplings offering we tried their handmade chicken dumplings (pan fried) which was good and prepared as well as served in the most authentic way possible. The filling was fabulous and the outer layering was just perfect not being too thin and too thick. Moving towards main course we ordered Kung Pao prawns which was wok tossed prawns along with chillies and peanuts. Sweet and spicy on the palate and when paired with changs chicken fried rice it was absolutely a heavenly combination. The changs fried rice is made using jasmine rice and had generous portions of chicken in it. It’s a must try if you are here. Lastly for our sweet tooth we ordered for Great Wall of chocolate. As unique as it sounds the taste was even more amazing. Absolutely sinful and it was nothing but pure goodness. Layered chocolate cake served with chopped strawberries and blueberries this divine delicacy is something which will bring me back again and again. Also initially we felt the pricing is slightly high but we were totally wrong as this could be easily shared between three people. The portion size is too good making it value for money. The melt in mouth texture and taste made our day at Pf Chang. Hospitality is where this place takes a huge leap in my opinion as they take it very seriously. The staff here ensures you have the best dining experience and they are absolutely flawless about their work. Pf Chang offers a culinary experience that transcends the ordinary with their impeccable F&B as well as hospitality making it my ideal one for...
