Rasoi Thali is a very renowned Thali joint in Mulund.
It is located just outside the railway station on the western side of Mulund. It serves limited & unlimited Thali, also serves an assortment of various savouries. They serve some lip-smacking chaat items in the evening.
I ordered for a Royal Thali [INR 185] which is the unlimited version of the Thali. It consists of 2 types of Kadhi, 1 Dal, 4 types of vegetables, 2 starters, papad, 2 desserts, butter milk, roti, puri, rice, sweet chutney, spicy chutney, pickle & salad. The menu is rotational & items change on a daily basis.
I particularly liked papdi with muthiya, sprouted moong, meethi dal & meethi kadhi. The Sabudana Wada was crisply fried on the outside & soft inside. The Thali, overall, was nice but nothing great about it.
Never had their chaat items so far but itching to have them now after...
Read moreWorst Food Quality & Guj thali in Mulund. Not Hyeginic at all. Itching in the entire body after having the food here. Apart from untasty food there is no good service, no professional grade staff. After taking 240 for a parcel limited thali sweets served was Payri Ras and Not Alphonso & that too of a cheap quality cum artificial taste. Gulab Jamun was too hard. While having the lunch here, if other customer comes they ask to shift the seat or to get up early, this is really ridiculous. One must see it's untidy kitchen before having the food here.
Sai Azad Restaurant located at M.G Road Panch Rasta Mulund (West) is far better than Rasoi, however it's a small restaurant. You don't get guj thali here but apart from Guj Thali you get all fast food, rice.plate, lunch plate & other snacks with a good quality & at pocket...
Read moreThis thali is very average and not so good at all. The cauliflower sabji was extra salty. The paneer capsicum sabji lacked taste Dal was also average
The only good things were the dhokla, papad, white rice and white kadhi. We have ordered two thalis with kadhi option instead of dal. Chappatis were fine.
The restaurant being in the heart of Mulund can if necessary increase its price but give quality products. We have grown up eating Shree Thakkar Bhojnalay of Kalbadevi, Samrat of Churchgate and Status of Nariman point. So comparatively this was extremely mediocre. Even if the restaurant wants to give at a lesser price point.. It can have sev tomato, gatte ki sabji, vaal nu shaak in its menu instead of not so tasty...
