One of the rare Indian restaurant in Mumbai that can be compared with Delhi ones. By Mumbai standards, this is valley clearly excellent where the servers understand the feelings of the North Indian guy who enjoys his food like nothing else. The minute details of multiple types of Onion, Onion with vinegar, papad of multiple types etc is awesome.

It is a very old restaurant with its own legacy and hence please expect a 90's decor and 50 year old servers. Their experience is really big plus as they understand the customisations that Indian/Mughlai food lovers ask for. For that matter, they can understand you and recommend dishes with ease and that too non-menu items specifically prepared to your taste.

Amazing food, prompt service and value for money. A bit upscale over the last few years but never disappoints. Try the mumtaz chicken and the tandoori fish - specialties since years. All the staff members are able to suggest dishes based on your palate but would still recommend sticking to the tried and tested indian menu. Visited this hotel for a Saturday night dinner with a friend, got a table without waiting. Very neatly maintained, good hygiene levels and good food. The time taken was a bit longer for food, I don't think it's because of the crowd but the service is a little poor. They've got a good menu for food and alcohol.

Taste wise, the food is good - lots of options for sea food and non veg. I tried Tandoori Prawns starter which tasted good (not something extraordinary) but it was Priced at 900 for just 8 pieces(not the smallest of prawns but okayish) !
