Special Tea House — Restaurant in Mumbai

Ok. Where should I even start!! This place spoiled me forever. So I worked at HN reliance hospital for 2 years and this place is pretty close to it. I was told about this place via one of the guys I befriended at the gym. I tried their misal first and was smitten forever. There was no going back. I made a trip there almost every 3rd or 4 th day.following are the dishes I tried- 1.The amazing lip smacking misle pav is something you just can't get enough of it. The special misal is equally good. The misal when combined with their Puris just take you to heavenly abode It's probably the star dish of this place. 2.Then comes the special pulav,which is seasoned with kaju,mutter. Again, another dish you cannot miss. 3.Puri bhaji- Their bhaji is delectable 4.special veg birayani and paneer biryani-- again mouth watering Butter idli 6.Sabudana wada Sev tomato bhaji- must try dish again 8.baigan ka bharta. Their dosas- which I would say we're not that great but nevertheless worth having.

Overall I strongly recommend this place to everyone. The seating place is small so at peak hours you may have to wait...

I have oder missal pav the taste wasn't good at all and it had a lots of garam masala in it. In take away you should give misal in a container which just cost you 3 rupees. 2nd I orderd is upma which was just OK I think it should be more tasty. 3rd I order a tea which was too not good. More than my half of food was thrown in a dustbin. The coconut chatni was a good one. And the onions and lemon was packed which too was not good. Don't take it as a complain of don't feel bad it's just a suggestion from my side which can help your customers to stick with you. It's a very very small restaurant with basic sitting arrangements. The food is very good and one can say filling tasty and value for money. Located on the Sir H.N. Reliance Hospital signal and easy to miss it, no fancy board etc. On first thought you may not want to enter but trust me just enter. It is neat and clean. They serve South Indian which is their speciality and North Indian. It is difficult to get place to sit as there are only 24 sittings, you'll have to wait in peak hours but the the service is fast. Do visit if in the area and hungry....
