HOTEL SUN CITY MUMBAI — Hotel in Mumbai

I was traveling alone...too much luggage and the staff of the hotel helped me to carry all my luggage to my room. They offered me a bottle of water. The room was very clean, with fan and AC and a window to clear the room. The bathroom was not very big, but enough and clean (they don't offer toilet paper, but I had it). The breakfast was served in the room, as the publicity says. It is not very much but enough to start the day. The hotel is in the centre of an area with a lot of small stores, restaurants, bakeries...I recommend some ice cream stores nearby... The staff was helpful about my departure...they allowed me not only to leave there my luggage until the night, also they looked for me a safe taxi at midnight with a good price and offered me a room to change my clothes and I could arrange my luggage once again...they were really helping me during all my staying there. I will come back...they were really near very touristics places and if you love walking and knowing not only touristic places but also the ambience of Mumbai, it is the perfect place... I loved it! Brief: Very small rooms, only a queen size will occupy the space. Also the rooms are next to road & too much noisy. Service team is ok & respond to requests at least with delay.

Rooms: The room are stinky & space is very very less. There are small cockroaches too. Washrooms are having leakage showers & have to inform after check-in. The service team will not see all these in prior before the check-in. The towels & blankets are full of stains which looks very often used. even the sounds from other rooms are disturbing.

Offering breakfast is just a business stunt & of no use. They always serve one pav with bhaji(curry), which doesn't even serve the purpose of breakfast.

They force customers to pay payments early even before the check-in for a confirmed booking. There is no use of reserving in prior check-in. Need to make multiple calls to confirm your booking. They don't allow you to stretch your stay at least for 30min to 1hour when in need.

I suggest not to book this hotel until its urgent. There are lot many hotels with better amenities near...

Absolutely do not book here unless you have no other option. They told us 4 hours before we were due to arrive that they wouldn't honour our booking. They didn't even call us to inform us, they told us when we called to confirm. The manager was less than civil as if it was our fault, and quite rudely told us that they'd been having problems with Agoda; he asked us to raise it with them. Additionally, he had the audacity to ask us not to tell Agoda he refused the booking, and tell them we didn't like our room instead; because apparently otherwise we wouldn't get a full refund. (Lies, obviously). Then he simply hung up on us. We raised it with Agoda, who checked with the hotel and was told bookings were not being honoured because the hotel was under renovation. (Which is funny because we made our booking in December, and the latest review is a week old.)

While we did get our refund in full after a lot of back and forth, I wouldn't recommend anyone to book here because of the sheer lack of helpfulness. Simply cannot rely on...
