I used to go here often. The ambience is good, and it's a lively place to get your work done, if you are into wfh.
Lately however I have been facing rude behaviour from some of the staff. And feeling very unwelcome.
Everyone is similarly dressed and with masks. So it is difficult to tell one from the other.
But I think the ring leader of these rude persons is Simone. She was the one who first started mocking me while taking orders. I guess she felt I was sitting long hours but not ordering enough to cover my cost.
Neha was the second person who continued this mocking routine.
And few days back some guy, whose name I did not see, mocked me by saying multiple times "just a latte." When I ordered a green tea latte. Also he spoke in contemptuous tones when the UPI did not work, and I was concerned that I might end up paying 2 times, if I paid in cash and money got cut from UPI later.
I get the point Simone, Neha and the 3rd guy are trying to make. They want me to order more food to make up for the long hours I spend at the cafe. And I have even eneded up ordering food and drinks worth nearly 1500 Rs. once when I sat really long.
The problem really is you guys serve unhealthy food full of empty calories. And I cannot order and eat empty calories just to make you happy. I am too old for that and with low metabolism. That is why I spend hell lot of time evaluating which food item/ drink has the least calories at your cafe, is relatively less unhealthy and order that. I do go out and eat proper food elsewhere. And would have happily eaten proper food at your cafe.
Seems like me and this cafe are a match made in hell 😂. They want me to order more food to make up for the long hours I am spending here. But I cannot oblige them cause I am scared of putting on weight and getting diabetes/ heart problems.
Do want to make a few more points though.
I am not a fussy customer. Lately I have started sitting at the tall table because there you take up only one seat, whereas you end up taking 2-4 seats on other tables. Often I bin my garbage and deliver the dishes back to the serving station after eating/ drinking.
Apart from few hours in the late afternoon/ evening the cafe is not really choc-o-bloc. Whether I am there or not, you guys are still going to run the amenities and incur cost.
Also, the above persons seem selectively rude to me. I saw plenty of people who were sitting with same/ lesser value order/ no order at all, as compared to me. Didn't see Simone, Neha, and the 3rd guy being rude to those people.
The two guy staff in specs always try to ameliorate the situation by being nice to me. Also the tall cleaning staff guy who doesn't understand English is quite...
Read moreStarbucks in Andheri, Mumbai, is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers and those seeking a cozy place to unwind. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee, which sets a pleasant tone for your visit. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating that encourages you to relax or catch up on work.
The menu at this Starbucks location is extensive, offering a variety of beverages ranging from classic espresso drinks to seasonal specialties. I particularly enjoyed the Caramel Macchiato, which was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The baristas are friendly and skilled, ensuring that your drink is made just the way you like it.
In addition to drinks, Starbucks Andheri also offers a selection of pastries and snacks that pair well with their beverages. The blueberry muffin I tried was moist and flavorful, making for a delightful treat alongside my coffee.
One downside is that this location can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, which may lead to longer waiting times. However, the vibrant atmosphere and the buzz of conversations add to the overall experience.
In summary, Starbucks Andheri is a great place to enjoy a quality cup of coffee in a comfortable setting. Whether you're looking to relax, work, or meet friends, this location has something to offer, making it a popular choice among locals and...
Read moreWhat is the best remedy to beat fatigue? You are correct!! A nice piping hot cup of coffee.
Our office is just a few blocks away, and we had loads of work and were pretty tired. So decided to grab a cup of coffee and something to munch on.
Selecting Starbucks is never a bad choice. This outlet is decent sized, and located in Kanakia. Brightly lit, with clean washrooms. We ordered caramel macchiato, mocha, Java chip frap, Hawaiian veg club soda, tandoori paneer sandwich and end with red velvet cake.
We were not a hungry bunch, but stressed. You know boss, timeline and all.
So the only thing that we enjoyed the most was coffee. The food wasn't upto our tast though. The sandwich has less salt. The cake although good, wasn't that great. But again if you want cake, visit a cake shop, right? The coffee was definitely good.
A nice place to relax, get some work done, connect with...
