Stambha Brewery: A Valentine's Day Rendezvous with French Flair (and Delicious Food!)
Hey fellow foodies! This Valentine's Day, I decided to ditch the usual roses and chocolates and head to Stambha Brewery in Andheri West for a unique experience, and boy, was I impressed! They've upped their game with a special Valentine's month menu featuring four French-inspired wines and meads, adding a touch of romance to the already vibrant atmosphere.
Let's talk about these special drinks first. They have:
Spiced Wine: Perfect for a chilly evening, this one's warm and comforting.
Farmhouse Ale: A classic choice, refreshing and crisp.
Chenin Blanc: A beautiful white wine, perfect for pairing with lighter dishes.
Love Spirit: Intriguing name, right? You'll have to try it to find out what magic it holds!
What's even better is that Stambha lets you taste the drinks before you commit to a full order. This is a huge plus, especially when trying something new.
Now, let's move on to the food, because that's where Stambha truly shines. We started with the Black Pepper Chicken, and let me tell you, it was fire! Perfectly spiced and cooked to tender perfection. The Stuffed Jacket Potatoes were another standout – cheesy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying.
We also ventured into their regular menu and tried the Mushroom and Caramelized Onion Flatbread. It was a delightful combination of sweet and savory, with a perfectly crispy crust. And for the main course, we couldn't resist trying the OG Butter Chicken with Roomali Roti, a specialty from Pratap The Dhaba (same owners, so you know it's good!). The butter chicken was rich and creamy, and the roomali roti was soft and melt-in-your-mouth. Seriously, this is comfort food at its finest.
Beyond the food and drinks, the ambiance at Stambha is absolutely Instagrammable. Every corner is picture-perfect, making it the ideal spot for a date night or a fun outing with friends. The lighting is just right, and the overall vibe is chic and relaxed.
My Verdict: Stambha Brewery is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique dining experience. The French-inspired drinks, the delicious food, and the stunning ambiance make it a winner in my book. Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day or just looking for a great place to hang out, Stambha has something for everyone. Highly recommended!

Read moreWent to Sthamba last night and the first impression of the place was very exciting and promising. The place has a nice aesthetic with warm lighting and great decor. They have a lot of games- if you want to go there with a group of friends, and books- if you want to go alone, and sip a beer while reading. Aesthetics were pretty good. It definitely seemed like a fun place where you can go with a group of friends and get great pics clicked for the ‘gram! However, once we started ordering our food and beers, the illusion of having an exciting night washed away faster than their tasteless beers. Don’t get me wrong, they have an amazing range of craft beers and an elaborate food menu. It’s just not tasteful, lol.
We first had a taster of all their beers. The waiter there insisted that we first try all their beers and then decide what we would like to order—which is quite sweet. When the taster tray arrived, we were very excited. But the waiter had us taste one after another in quite a rush and we could not really get the individual flavours of each beer right because of having various tasters back to back. So we ended up ordering our usual go to craft beers—IPA & Rice Lager. They had a New England IPA and some Indian Rice Lager which they served in a desi mug, which was quite rustic. Taste wise, however, the Rice Lager fell flat and the IPA was just decent. That was only the beginning of our disappointments.
We started ordering food to go with the beers. We ordered a plate of Fried Squid Rings and Chicken Gyoza. Both of them were HORRIBLE. The squid was overcooked to a point where it felt like I was chewing rubber and the chicken gyoza was tossed in some gravy due to which it had lost all its juiciness. We sent the squid rings back and requested them to not overcook it. When another plate was brought to us, it was once again overcooked, and had lost all the scrumptiousness of a fresh squid. The food was truly disappointing.
We had a few more beers before calling it a night. Before going, we had seen a few reviews about the famous Harry Potter Butter Beer they served and wanted to try it out for ourselves. We should have listened to the reviews, lol, because it was nothing special. A waste of money really. At the end, as we paid the bill, the waiter mentioned that there’s no service charge and hinted at wanting a tip. It was quite imposing and we ended up giving ₹100 as tip against our wishes. The place just kept disappointing us. I don’t think we’ll ever go back again, but if you are thinking of going, I hope this review helps you make...
Read moreThis one is quite a mixed reaction. Sthambha- a recent reels sensation. Are they worth the hype? Let's break it up. Pros- Beers- this is what they are famous for. Best part is their tester and the way of serving it. Just like a color palatte. And truly it is multifaceted. Wow. The range of taste is impeccable. 10/10 for all the meads. Specially berry, coffee orange and guava chilli ( not the typical sweet ripe guava flavour). Even their other common beers like IPA is great (served in pittal tumbler). Shandy, Hot rod beer is good. I didn't like the butter beer and soju infusion much (request the management to change the base beer may be). Also the old school "SHENGDANA"- nice touch.
Behaviour- Too good. Friendly, understanding and attention to each customer even on a busy day. Hats off. Interesting fact- they don't add unnecessary charges even when you have booked through zomato or Swiggy ( like many other renowned places)
Ambience - again 10/10. The centre counter like part with green bottle hanging is a nice idea. Really good music as well. Even have games to play.
Cons Food- Nop. Not good. Chicken strips- too thick coating, bhut jholakia chicken - nothing spicy and too salty, Sichuan chicken - just 5/10, truffle mushroom croissant - just full of cheese. Onion rings- just okay. None of the dips are good. I went back to back on three weekends - cause I wanted to try all the beers with my friends. Same experience all the times.
Overall - Returning home after a tiring day and wanna have a couple of soothing drinks- yes. Quick grab of beers and chat with a friend - yes. Gallons of beer and funny moments with peers- hell ya. But, a full fledged beer cafe- NO, NOT YET.
So, recommended, go choose your poison and have fun...
