The service was prompt, polite, and attentive. Staff made sure we were comfortable throughout. Cleanliness is excellent—floors sparkle, restrooms are beautifully done in marble and gold finishes, and even the cutlery shines so bright you can see your reflection. The housekeeping staff are equally courteous, opening doors and checking on details.

Flavours were unique, mildly spiced, and enjoyable. • Burmese Khao Suey – Rich, creamy coconut curry base, served with condiments like peanuts, fried garlic, noodles, and chillies. One of the stars of the night. • Paneer Skewer (starter) – Crisp outside, soft inside, tasty though portion size felt small.

The Basileio blends royalty-inspired ambience, spotless cleanliness, and prompt service with food that is flavourful and well thought out. The Funghi Pizza, Khao Suey, and Yuzu Breeze were standouts, but the overall experience was about more than just food—it was about being treated to a grand evening. Definitely a place worth visiting if you want to enjoy luxury dining in Thane with a royal touch. 👑✨

Digital non-compliance: The restaurant had only a digital menu for opening which it was mandatory to accept WhatsApp's disputed privacy policy. This clearly meant that the restaurant was passively coaxing the passengers into doing something that even the judiciary has not yet cleared!

Poor food variety: There were very few food options overall. In Jain menu, the options were laughable - it was possible to count the number of available choices on the fingers of a single hand. The restaurant's tall claims of having abundant variety in Jain food just fell flat.

Inadequately trained staff: The staff was not at all knowledgeable about the food items that could be provided in Jain. Even the items that are available in Jain in other Veg restaurants weren't available here.

Highly inefficient operations:

1. When we'd placed an order for Jain Khou Suey, the restaurant was just 20% full, yet, the kitchen staff took 40 mins to prepare just this soup!

2. Meanwhile, a couple of orders were incorrectly routed to our table. The staff was largely clueless about what to serve where, and they were seeking customer validation for the most part.

3. I had emptied by glass of water in the 1st 15 mins and since then nobody had bothered to fill my glass for the next 75 mins. I'd to ask for a refill twice which was also donr after a delay of a few minutes.

Highly sub-par service especially from a supposedly fine dine restaurant.

DJ fiasco: According to the restaurant, the DJ was to start at 10 PM. When I enquired about why it didn't start till 10:15 PM, I wasn't given a satisfactory answer. When I again asked for DJ at 10:35 PM, I was initially told that the DJ wasn't playing on that night. When I strongly pointed out that this wasn't communicated to me when I'd contacted the restaurant earlier that day, I was offered an apology and the DJ commenced thereafter - nearly 40 mins late!

Abysmal value for money: Considering the lack of variety (esp. in Jain food), the delays, and the operational inefficiencies, this place feels highly over-priced and over-hyped.

Conclusion: I will NOT RECOMMEND this...

I visited this restaurant last night with my husband. It is located on the third floor of R Mall, Mulund. The restaurant is spacious, and the ambiance is luxurious, making it a suitable venue for a date or to spend quality time with loved ones.

We ordered Palak Patte Ki Chaat, Chickpea Burger, and Exotic Pizza. For beverages, we chose Fresh Lime Soda and Greek Sunrise mocktail. The food quality was good, and the order was served within approximately 20 minutes. However, the pricing is on the higher side, with the average cost per dish ranging from ₹450 to ₹550.

Since our visit coincided with the Diwali period, we were required to pay ₹149 per person for their Diwali Carnival. Although they had set up a rangoli, some floral décor at the entrance, and three stalls (Pani Puri, Gola, and Paan) where ₹150 was redeemable, the experience felt forced. The cover charge was mandatory regardless of whether guests wished to avail these stalls, and the amount was not redeemable against the restaurant’s regular menu. In my opinion, this diminished the overall value of the experience.

We had made a reservation for 8:00 p.m. and were informed that live music would begin at 9:00 p.m. However, it actually started at 10:15 p.m. Based on this expectation, we chose a table near the live music area, which led to disappointment due to the delay. The service quality was below average. The staff appeared undertrained, and we had to repeatedly request the cleaning of our table. Additionally, pizza seasoning containers were not adequately available, and the servers seemed to be circulating the same limited number of containers among multiple tables.

Overall, the experience was satisfactory but not exceptional. While the ambiance and food were good, the service, clarity of information provided, and event-related charges were below expectations. If you plan to visit, especially for live music or special events, I recommend confirming the exact timings and going after 9:30 p.m. to avoid...
