"CUTE CAFE WITH GOOD FOOD"

“Laughter is to SOUL what soap is to BODY!”

This is the new kid on the block in the vegetarian-only resto-café scene in Mulund West, a fresh place with a fresh look which was much desired.

They have three advantages; one is location, they are in the close vicinity of one of the happening places in Mulund West; Mulund College of Commerce [MCC], second is the paucity of such a vibrant and young place in the area and third is the right hand side of the menu card; the price. The prices don’t pinch your pocket and can be easily afforded by a college going student.

There is a mystery behind such a unique name which has no link to its business, but I guess they must be propagating the message of “Eat, Laugh & Live” and hence the name.

The café has been tastefully done up with a look of a part café & part pub. The exterior is a mix of all things related to food & laughter. Since the theme is laughter, the entire has photo frames, messages on the wall conveying the same thing. Upon entering the restaurant, you see a bar [juice, in this case] counter with 4 high stools. They have 2 tables to accommodate 2 persons and the others for 4 or more. The far end of the restaurant is white washed and tastefully decorated with photo frames and nicely illuminated with yellow light.

Most of the occupants were young college going students. There was a small group who had dropped in for a celebration and had occupied most of the tables. I had to wait for about 15 minutes before I could get a table of my own.

During the waiting period, I had already gone through the menu card and finalized my order.

JAJAJA – THE MEXICAN BOWL [INR 130] A very nice creation in a bowl and can work as a mini-meal, a nice combination of spice, sour flavour. The salsa sauce was perfect combination of sour tomato base and spicy chili. The sour cream topped on the base of rice and nicely cooked beans worked wonders and the nacho chips gave a crunchy feel. RECOMMENDED.

PANEER SNIGGER [INR 70] Soft chunks of Paneer in a sweetish thick brown sauce [maybe barbeque sauce], topped with finely chopped cabbage in mayonnaise and sandwiched in oblong whole wheat bread roll, toasted slightly. The combination was nice but they should change the shape of the bread used as very little filling could fit in and it started oozing out when I took a bite of it.

POPEYE POTION [INR 60] This item did POP my EYES out. The colour combo was a treat to the photographer. It was served piping hot, right out of the oven albeit after a wait for about 10-15 minutes. One jumbo slice of whole wheat bread was buttered and layered with loads of finely chopped garlic. Later a nice layer of fresh and finely cooked spinach was laid on top. Finally cheese was grated over it and put in the oven for the cheese to melt. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED. One suggestion, they should change or replace they cheese they use. The one used in this dish had a very rubbery feel to it and though it was even spread over the entire surface of the slice, when I took a bite of every slice the entire cheese came off along with the morsel.

MINTY MOJITO [INR 70] A nice cooler made from a lime based carbonated drink with a slice of lemon and mint leaves giving out their flavour to perfection.

Service was good and no problems encountered.

Prachiti & Pratik, the owners of the café are personally involved in each & every step of the day-to-day functioning. Right from clearing the tables, suggesting certain dishes, to taking orders and serving them on the table. Their hand-on approach is applause worthy and shows their involvement in bringing up their baby; the café.

The vibrant ambience, the emphasis on laughter and good food made my visit to TLC a very nice experience. Am I coming back? Certainly; and very soon and will bring along a few foodie friends and cousins too.

This place is very accessible from Mulund station around 500 meters. I was quite eager to visit this place as this is quite buzzed during weekdays with the students of nearby college. And this cafe is like not new but they just launched some awesome variety in their menu. The ambience was pretty cool ,they have board games like any cafe has. The walls were pretty decorative. And the place was quite big has around arrangements to accommodate 25-30 ppl . Taking about food I tried manyyyy things and I would love to describe each one of it.. Truly speaking everything was amazing🙈❤ 💕💕💕They also serve Jain food💕💕💕

💠Drinks ⏺Green Apple fizz ⏺Strawberry fizz ⏺Minty Mojito ⏺Kiwi cucumber cool ⏺Paan Mojito All the drinks were good ,the taste of paan mojito was comming out really very well .It was first time I had tasted a paan mojito..

💠Shakes ⏺Nutella strawberry shake :- The flavours were blending very well with each other . ⏺Brownie coffee shake :- It had crumbles of brownie and it was amazing💕 ⏺Crunch Oreo shake: THE Only cafe in which I loved Oreo shake I am not into oreos lovers as such but this was amazing

⏺Raspberry coffee rush:- It was good but the coffee flavour was quite dark.. The people who love coffee with any other flavour may find it cool..🙈I just love plain coffee so not my kind ..

⏺Nutella coffee shake:- It has loadsss of Nutella and I just loved it.. Highly recommended 💖

💠Food

⏺Tlcc special garlic bread:- one of the best garlic breads I ever had.. The cheese on top of the bread was melting💕.

⏺Red Thai curry Newly introduced ... Finding Thai food in a cafe is rare and believe me this was tasty ❤💕.

⏺Peri peri masala fries with bbq mayo Mexican mayo plain mayo Normal French fries🙈 with three dips and those fries were kind of sprinkled with red chilly powder so they tasted good.

⏺Chuklicious laughlicious (Chakli pav) Many people are not aware about this but this is the best thing to have once in your college life 💕💕 ..It consisted of a bread with some chutneys and cheese filled inside with with pieces of chakli💕💕. Highly recommended

⏺BQQ baked bean with nachos This was normal nachos but the bbq sauce tasted lit. I wish it was little more creamy 💕..

⏺Pav bhaji toast It had a hint of pav bhaji , good amount of chesse was added in here 🙈💕.. people who love mild pav bhaji flavour this was a good option.

⏺JAJAJA - The Mexican Bowl (Rice + refried beans + salsa sauce + sour cream + crush Nachos chips)

⏺Hinglish Baked Vada Pav:- I have no words to describe this one they served it with chillies and chutneys the way a normal vadapav is served just the twist was that it was baked and the stuffing consisted of cheese and the potatoes stuffing.. The cheese was ozing out of the pav🙈 It was such a pleasure to see it and a treat for taste buds

⏺Mac & Cheese baked pasta :- This was amazing💕, I just wish the sauce could have been a little thick else the taste and texture was perfect💕

💠Dessert

⏺Choco bomb:- This was amazing💕💕💕 All the chocolate was flowing out of the muffin and the taste of chocolate was totally awesome.. 🙈❤ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 💕

⏺Deep Fried ice cream:-This was perfect , just perfect .... I would visit this cafe for this again and again..💕💕 Highly recommended

Overall rating:- Value for money 4.5/5 Taste 5/5 Service...

When you are walking along this crowded street near Mulund station, there is only one place which stands out. Painted with baby hues, and a super-cute logo, this place has a very casual and chill vibe to it. The cafe is based on the sole theme "laughter is the best medicine." This is exactly the kind of place where you would celebrate a happy occasion. We were there with a bunch of friends to blow off some steam. We started off with their Cheese Garlic Bread. Smeared with a generous amount of garlic paste and cheese atop it, they toasted their breads to a crisp brown. It had a sharp taste of garlic and you would like it only if you enjoy the extra tinge of it. After this, we ordered their JaJaJa Mexican Bowl. This one was an amazing mixture of salsa, refried beans, crisp crumbles of tortilla, sour cream and Mexican flavoured rice. The sourness of salsa with the blend of beans and rice tasted extremely soulful. As far as Mexican cuisine is concerned, it might have deviated a bit but it still managed to tantalize our taste buds. The sour cream added a thick consistency and the salsa gave it a base. This was the best dish we had there. Next one was the Mexican Delight Pizza. Their base size is extremely small and the sauce tasted a bit bland. The cheese and toppings were amazing but the sauce and crisp taste didn’t go well. This one needs a lot of improvement. Coming to their Paprika Pasta, it was a blend of white and red sauces. The taste of paprika was missing and the gherkins overpowered this blend. The pasta tasted good as long as they were warm but later on it started tasting bland. This one again needed a lot of improvement. There was no spice in this dish. Last but not the least, we ordered their Crunchy Oreo Shake. This one was a definite delight. The taste of oreos was perfect. It could have been thicker. Overall, it is a decent place but with some improvements here and there, they could do lot better.

Ambience: 4/5 Taste Quotient:...

This cafe has EVERYTHING! The Ambience here is perfect. The coziness of this place is appealing with the dim Edison bulbs adding to the feel. The fragrance in the air keeps you fresh all the time. The playlist is up-to-date and hence the music keeps you grooving and entertained. The have artwork and painting put up on each of their walls which looks beautiful. The menu card is quite interesting and so are the dishes. They serve a variety of dishes ranging from pastas, pizzas, burgers, fusion foods, milkshake and what not! The presentation of the food is good. We had ordered a Mexican Fiesta Pizza and the Jajaja: Mexican Bowl (in pictures). Jajaja: Mexican Bowl - It is a must try dish here! It essentially consists of rice prepared in sauces/curry with chopped veggies and nachos toh compliment it. The flavours explode as soon aa you take the first bite and i can easily say I haven't tasted anything like this before. Mexican Fiesta Pizza - The pizza was a regular sized pizza and was really well prepared. The thin crust was crispy and the toppings were just optimum. The taste of the pizza was really good. This is one of the recommendation of TLC (i guess). The food is worth the price and it is also a budget friendly place. If you are looking for a hangout spot in mulund then this can be one of them. The staff is quite friendly and polite and the service is prompt. There is usually no waiting time here and one can find a place here easily. Food - 5/5 Ambience - 4/5 Service - 4/5

I could have easily given this outlet as a 4 star rating at least. However considering my experience and their professionalism, I want want to give only one star to this outlet. First of all the basic hospitality is a miss. Forget about greeting their customers, they didn't welcome us with the drinking water. Moreover , the staff was not even in and around when we were supposed to place our order they were somewhere on the upper deck. Seating arrangement is not pretty good. The cushions are untidy. The food is not even up to the mark the quality is completely out of the question. It is OK for the college going students but not for the families like us. Lastly that I should definitely let the people know is about their carelessness and lack of professionalism. I had ordered momos and half of the portion was left hence I requested them to pack it. They never bothered to return me back that packet while I was billing. When I call them next morning they told me they had kept it till 12 a.m and they threw it off. They never bother to compensate me for this even after convincing them so many times. I was even ok to get the same half portion even if it was refrigerated but they threw it off. Sorry to the owner but I was really disappointed. Definitely no no again.
