Review for Theobroma – R City Mall, Ghatkopar West

I had a very unfortunate experience with this outlet. On 14th May 2025 at around 4 PM, I purchased a Paneer Junglee Sandwich and a Mango Veg Pastry from the R City Mall Ghatkopar West outlet. After consuming the food, I experienced severe food poisoning and was admitted to the ICU on 15th May at 11 AM, diagnosed with Gastroenteritis (GE) infection. I was kept under observation and only discharged on 17th May.

Medical reports confirmed the presence of vegetative fibre, clearly indicating contaminated food. I had to spend ₹30,000 on treatment, all for food that cost just ₹300 — which turned out to be stale and unsafe for consumption.

This was not just disappointing, but dangerous. I will be pursuing legal action and filing a consumer complaint with all supporting medical documentation. I urge the management to take responsibility and ensure food safety is prioritized — no one should have to...

I visited Theobroma Ghatkopar today. The baked vada pav and pineapple pastry were really good, fresh and flavorful. The banoffee tart and tiramisu cup were just average, not bad but nothing special either.

However, I’m giving only one star because of the terrible service. The staff member at the counter, Miss Yadav, seemed completely disinterested and was busy on her phone the whole time. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and absolutely no effort to assist customers. For a brand like Theobroma, this level of service is disappointing and really affects the overall experience.
