TL;DR - great sandwiches and coffee, a little pricey, gets crowded and noisy at peak hours with a bit of a wait time for a table, and they’ve got a large menu that you’ll want to try everything on so try to order what suits your preferences best or ask the team to help you choose
We came here a couple of times during our trip to Mumbai because of how good everything tasted!
Here’s everything we had:
🥑 The Avo Snob sandwich (3/5) This was a cold sandwich – crunchy ciabatta stuffed with avocado, tomatoes and burrata cheese. While I really wanted to like this sandwich more, I was put off by the bread being too hard to bite through easily and disappointed that the flavours didn’t really stand out much
🍤 Oh Shrimp! Po’ Boy sandwich (5/5) I’m not someone who likes seafood but I’ve been trying to be more adventurous lately and this sandwich was soooooo good! Each bite was packed with so many different flavours and textures and I was taken aback by how deliciously well everything just worked.
🍟 Dirty Fries (4/5) A plate full of hot, cheesy fries with a sprinkle of truffle oil that we loved getting for the table. Only thing was that it was a bit pricey for the quantity but that’s probably because of the use of truffle.
🧊 Iced Latte (5/5) My favourite coffee in life, anywhere, ever. This coffee was the perfect amount of creaminess with a bold coffee flavour and I haven’t ever had a coffee that perfectly done anywhere else. We came here 3 more times just to grab this whenever we could.
🍿 Salted Caramel Popcorn Latte (5/5) Perfectly creamy, sweet and salty, with a lot of caramel. This coffee was more of a dessert but I didn’t really have any complaints because it tasted so good.
🥤 Cold Brew (3/5) Their house-blend cold brew was strong without being overpowering and tasted great. It just felt a little watered down unfortunately and also paled in comparison to the other coffees we tried.
Apart from that, the place itself was always packed whenever we went, with loud conversations and music flowing, and we also often experienced a wait time of 10-15 minutes to get a table for two. Service can also be a little slow because of how many orders they’re constantly juggling.
The vibe of the place is really trendy with fun, random stickers plastered everywhere, vibrant colours across the furniture and decor, and all sorts of other fun branding elements sprinkled across the space.
The staff is really friendly and helpful, and helped us pick out some of the items we ordered based on what we told them we liked.
The prices are all on the higher end but I felt it was justified for the quantity, quality and consistency most of the time.
They also retail their coffee beans, as well as items from their other F&B verticals like the savoury items from Bombay Sweet Shop.
Also, they have two separate menus – one for their breakfast shift, and another for their...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of ordering food for delivery from Veronica's at Hill Road in Bandra West, Mumbai, and I must say that it was a culinary experience to remember. Despite ordering for home delivery, the quality of the food remained consistently impressive.
Food: Very Good
Veronica's Iced Tea - 4.5/5
The meal started on a refreshing note with Veronica's Iced Tea. Served chilled with a generous amount of ice and a slice of lemon, this beverage was a perfect thirst quencher. The balance of sweetness and tea flavor was just right, making it a delightful accompaniment to the meal.
BLT - 4.5/5 [Fried Egg, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomatoes]
The BLT sandwich was an absolute treat. The bacon was perfectly crispy, and the fried egg added a delightful richness to the sandwich. The freshness of the lettuce and tomatoes provided a nice contrast to the savory elements. It was served on a fresh bun that held everything together without becoming soggy, even during delivery. The portion size was satisfying, and the overall taste was excellent.
OH SHRIMP PO'BOY - 5/5 [Gochujang Flaming Sauce, Avocado, Shredded Lettuce, Dutch Crunch]
The OH SHRIMP PO'BOY was undoubtedly the star of the meal. This sandwich was not just good; it was exceptionally good. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a crispy coating on the outside. The Gochujang Flaming Sauce provided a delightful kick, and the creamy avocado complemented it beautifully. The shredded lettuce added a refreshing crunch, and the Dutch Crunch bread was a revelation - crispy on the outside and soft inside. The combination of flavors and textures in this sandwich was nothing short of amazing. I couldn't get enough of it.
Overall Experience - 4.5/5
Veronica's certainly knows how to satisfy the taste buds. Despite the food being delivered to my doorstep, the quality remained top-notch. The attention to detail in each dish, from the well-cooked bacon to the perfectly seasoned shrimp, was evident. The menu offers a good variety of options, and based on my experience, I would highly recommend trying the OH SHRIMP PO'BOY.
The only minor point of improvement could be in the delivery time, as it took a bit longer than expected, but the exceptional food more than made up for it. I will definitely be ordering from Veronica's again and look forward to exploring more of their offerings. If you're in the mood for some delicious and creative sandwiches, Veronica's...
Read moreWe went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They are open for breakfast from 8am - 11am as well. Lunch service starts at 12pm. Not sure if the breakfast menu is different. Although we reached at 12:05, the place was already full and the wait time was 40-45 minutes. We put down our name and number on the tablet to get notified when the table was available. We got a call WhatsApp message and a call when a table got free. We had gone away to do other errands so we’re late to arrive but the staff helped us get the table within 5 minutes.
The place specialises in sandwiches and have a few side dishes, salads and beverages to go with them. The menu is short and that definitely makes it manageable to maintain high quality. We ordered for everything bagel with cream cheese, smashed burger, small fries and Ceylon cold brew. The Ceylon cold brew was served over ice, it has cinnamon and orange flavour and tasted good. The bagel was cut and toasted, served warm. It had perfect texture and taste. The salted fries were also good served with their homemade ketchup and mustard. The smash burger was the best I have ever had in India. Better than Louis burger or burger seigneur in Bangalore. It has double smashed short ribs and marrow patty, cheddar, caramelised onions, crispy bacon and “fancy sauce”. You can optionally add a fried egg, but honestly, this burger doesn’t need anything else. Not even ketchup or mustard. It is absolutely delicious and juicy. It’s perfectly seasoned considering the saltiness of the bacon so that it’s doesn’t become too salty. The meet to bread ratio is spot on. The bun was fresh and soft to absorb all the juices but not fall apart. The patties had perfect caramelisation from the Maillard reactions on the grill. An absolute banger burger!! I have had the pastrami sandwich before at The Bombay Canteen so I’m sure this place would have the same top notch pastrami sandwich.
The service was quick and staff was really friendly. Will definitely recommend visiting this place to relish their...
