Walking into KOA at Inorbit Mall, Vashi, you’re immediately struck by the ambience — it’s boho‑chic with Mediterranean overtones. Sunlit corners, earthy tones, foliage along windows, light wooden artefacts, and warm tawny lighting set a relaxed yet visually inviting vibe. Whether you settle in a cosy corner, a community table, or by the window, the aesthetic backdrops make it a perfect place not just to eat, but to linger — great for photos, conversation, even casual people‑watching. The space feels airy and well‑curated; it strikes a balance between elegance and comfort.
The food here genuinely lives up to the visual promise. We tried the KOA Fried Chicken, which was juicy inside with a crisp crust; the spices in the Harissa Chicken Tikka offered a vibrant kick, nicely balanced; and the Butter Chicken paired with soft, buttery naan hit all the comforting notes one hopes for. For something different, the Egg Burnt Garlic Fried Rice surprised pleasantly — smoky garlic flavour, just a right touch of char, and eggs done well. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared. Beyond food, the drinks stood out too: the Oreo Smoothie was indulgent and thick, a dessert in glass, while the Sundowner was perfect for winding down — refreshing, well‑balanced, and suited to the evening mood.
Hospitality rounds everything off beautifully. The staff were attentive, courteous, and made sure we were comfortable without hovering. Little touches — checking spice level, timely serving, offering suggestions — added up. And dessert — “Smash It” with Lotus Biscoff — was absolutely a must‑try: crunchy, creamy, playful, and a sweet finale that feels indulgent without being overdone. All in all, KOA, Vashi is a solid pick for food lovers and aesthetic seekers alike: good food, great hospitality,...

I started off with KOA LIIT which is perfect drink, refreshing yet potent blend of spirits, with just the right balance of sweetness, tanginess, and a slight kick that’s sure to satisfy any palate.
Next I tried out their refreshing mocktail, Jamming islander. Berry freshness, calming tea, the perfect reviving sip.
Coming to the food, the real star of the show. Their appetizers sets the tone perfectly.
I loved their Rechado Murgh tikka which was absolutely delicious and lip smacking. Full of flavours and juicy tender chicken.
If you are a prawns lover, do try their tandoori jhinga. The prawns are marinated to perfection, infused with rich spices, yogurt, and a hint of citrus that brings out their natural sweetness.
Herb garlic prawns pizza is the absolute delight, the aroma of roasted garlic and herbs with juicy perfectly cooked prawns just fills my heart.

Read moreI recently visited KOA Café and Bar, and while the overall experience was mixed, there were definitely a few highlights worth mentioning.
Starting with the ambience, I must say it’s absolutely the star of the place — 5/5. The interiors are modern yet cozy, with a perfect balance of lighting and décor that instantly sets a relaxed, upscale vibe. The seating is comfortable, and the music adds just the right amount of energy without being too loud. Whether you’re there for a casual meal, a date, or to unwind with friends, the setting is truly impressive.
The food was also quite enjoyable — 4/5. The menu offers a good mix of cuisines, and what I tried was flavorful and well-presented. The portion sizes were decent, and the quality of ingredients felt fresh. Their signature dishes and cocktails are definitely worth trying.
However, the biggest drawback was the service — 2/5. Unfortunately, the staff seemed disorganized and inattentive. It took a long time to get our order taken and even longer for the food to arrive. Getting basic things like water refills or cutlery required repeated reminders. For a place with such beautiful ambience and good food, the service level really needs improvement to match the overall experience.
In summary, KOA Café and Bar has great ambience and good food, but the service needs serious attention. If the management can improve this aspect, it could easily become one of the best hangout spots in the area.
