Given all the positive reviews, we had always wanted to try the high tea at Pickwicks, so my daughter chose it as a special treat for Father’s Day.
Went there with my elderly mother and daughter and I appreciated how they offered a wheel chair as soon as we got off the car. My mum was able to walk to the restaurant, but it was a thoughtful gesture nonetheless.
We ordered two high teas to share amongst the three of us. We began with some lemon cake and cookies while we waited for the main treat. They were tasty and fresh.

Read moreI thought of trying a new restaurant and with great excitement I thought of coming to Pickwick at the Claridges- having heard good reviews about the food at the Claridges despite a terrible experience at Jade and a mediocre one at Eraawan, I took another risk by coming to Pickwick. The warmth of the staff was the only saving grace, the older waiters are hospitable and have a kind, warm demeanour but very tragically, the food is disappointing. Even the most basic, classic dishes fall flat- such as the fish and chips and the grilled fish(which in fact was was dry and inedible). The makhni dal was ok but the naan served with it was sub-par. Unfortunately I will not return to the Claridges restaurants unless serious amends are made. Truly very disappointed and teary eyed to write this review about the...
