Vélo Café & Le Velo Box (multicuisine restaurant) — Restaurant in Puducherry

Very poor service in second floor ..... I have ordered sweet corn soup in that they given chicken sweet corn soup ...... and that's soup not good it's like hot rice water.....I was really upset and my wife is a vegetarian .... I asked the reason they said today only chef s and little busy ..... So cancelled And then I hav panner butter masala but they waiter wrongly taken the order and they made entry in panner tikka masala... Then I cancelled and changed to butter masala only for that they already made tikka masala mixed and given to us like butter masala ..... Actually my friend allergic with sea foods I hav ordered some kalalerian food we thought it will be new one and they waiter also it will good and I ordered like kalarain chicken but we don't know it's a squid and after I tasted its not like chicken nd asked them they u hav ordered kalerian it means squid only like they argued with me ....veg noodles it was like horrible taste even road side shops they will some quality and taste foods but they given full of oily and sticky we did not hav that one also..... For that they didn't serve any sauce also ... And also we ordered some starters like dragon chicken, Arrow chicken and panner tikka we asked mayonnaise and drinking water requested 3 times but they didn't given finally one waiter came for billing I m very angered and cancel my kalerian food we hav allergic in sea foods .... But she said we won't do only soup we can cancel like that.... I came down for billing section... That billing person behaviour was too much horrible and he s saying like u hav to pay for all the items... Then I shouted lot and explained what we faced in that restaurant......

My experience at Velo Cafe and Velo Box in Pondicherry was truly exceptional. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior design and decor gave a cozy yet modern vibe.

One of the rare occasions where I suggested this place to my friends bcz of the colorful ambience but their food was equally good and we were surprised.

We tried veg clear soup (3/5), chicken tandoori (4.5/5), paneer tikka (4.5/5), Squid pepper fry (4.5/5), schezwan chicken noodles (4.5/5), mushroom gravy (4/5), butter roti (4/5), garlic Naan (4/5), Chicken Rara (2/5) and a few shakes and icecreams.

Their chicken tandoori was perfectly cooked and had enough spice and flavours. Squid pepper fry was top notch, prepared with a simple masala and sauted in local style (however, a little costly). Scezhwan chicken noodles was also tasty, made with right amount of spice and sauces.

They served tandooris with a cup of complimentary mayonnaise which we liked. However, they charged for additional order of mayonnaise (15₹). They may consider to serve more complimentary mayonnaise.

Chicken Rara was a let down as it was nowhere close the original recipe.

The service was very gentle and courteous. They spoke kindly, listened to our order with patience and gave necessary clarifications whenever we enquired about any dish from the Menu. Their service team deserves a special...
