I visited AB's - Absolute Barbecues in Viman Nagar Pune with my friends last weekend and we had a great time. It’s inside the new Nyati Empress building on the 2nd floor. You can reach there directly via the lift or use the escalator. The restaurant is spacious and well-decorated, with comfortable seating and friendly staff. One of the best things is the very high ceiling which makes the restaurant feel very spacious and even when it’s full, you don’t feel the smoke from all the barbecue grills. The interior is very colourful with very comfortable seats. The best part of the experience was the food, which was delicious and varied.

The buffet spread included a wide range of starters, main course and desserts. We got to grill our own meat and veggies on the table, which was fun and interactive. The starters were mouth-watering, especially the grilled prawns, chicken tikka and paneer tikka, and barbecue pineapple. The main course had a variety of dishes, such as biryani, dal makhani, butter chicken and naan, and this is one of the very few buffet places where the main course is just as tasty as the starters. The desserts were also amazing, with options like gulab jamun, ice cream and brownie. However the dessert options felt a bit limited compared to rest of the spread.

The service was prompt and courteous, and the staff was attentive to our needs. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we got. We paid around ₹900 per person, which was worth it.
