Cafe Al Forno — Restaurant in Pune

Tucked away near Senapati Bapat Road, Pune, right behind JW Marriott and beneath Youthville hostel, lies one of my absolute favorite cafes—Cafe Alforno. Over the years, this cozy café has evolved from a small, intimate space to a larger, more inviting venue, reflecting the dedication and passion of its owner, Mr. Gaurav Monani. His belief in his craft, and the countless hours he’s put into making this place thrive, shine through in every detail.

The menu at Cafe Alforno continues to grow and surprise. Recently, Rahul Jain has introduced several new dishes, adding an exciting twist to an already diverse menu. One of the standout additions is their Pav Bhaji, a comforting and flavorful dish that perfectly complements their existing offerings. From their signature Hot Chocolate and Cappuccino to refreshing summer treats like Lemon Iced Tea and Choco Frappe, there's always something for every mood.

My personal favorite, the Cold Coffee—formerly known as Cafe Freddo—remains a creamy delight. I also still miss the Paneer Ricotta sandwich, but their Paneer Dominator Pizza and Cheese Chili Toast never fail to hit the spot. They’ve even added Cheesecakes to their dessert selection, which is a wonderful indulgence to finish off a meal.

What keeps me coming back is the consistency and warmth. The quality of the food has been impeccable over the years, and it’s even better knowing this café is dog-friendly, making it an ideal spot for me and my furry companion. Plus, they play lovely music that creates the perfect atmosphere to relax, unwind, and enjoy your time here.

This is wonderful cafe with a great chill vibe alongwith a warm feeling of just being yourself.Whether you are 15 or 50 Be it a date or a couple with their kids or just corporate folks wanting to meet up or you just want to hang out with you friends or just coming solo with your laptop.THIS IS YOUR PLACE TO BE. Added attraction: Pottery and other fun stuff every weekend. Menu serves chinese, continental, lovely shakes and beverages.The nicest and sweetest staff is there at the cash counter, the servers or even the chefs. Special mention for Chef Rawat who can customise any dish to your tastebuds and that too with a smile. The owner Mr. Rahul is just as nice and takes personal interest in each customer. Cafe Da Al Forno is located behind JW Marriott, near ICC tower, it's a very basic cafe with varities of coffee and some fast food menu. I visited for a quick lunch and had a sandwich, which was very basic, single layer with basic veggies and lot of Mayo and some cheese. The decor is decent but they allow smoking which is annoying to others. Basically it's a smoker's place and not for a quick meal. Service was good and quick, servers were decent. Cost wise it's little heavy for what they are offering. So overall ok to visit once but there are far better...
