PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A RESTAURANT. I used to be a regular when this place was run by Satej. This restaurant has reduced the number of tables to create ambient look, menu includes only 4 dishes. Service is worst. They don't do anything unless told to do so. They are in no way capable of politely handling weekend crowd. Neither do they clean the tables unless shouted at to do so. They are forgetting they are a ROADSIDE RESTAURANT. NOT A POSH UPSCALE FINE DINING PLACE. They follow coupons system like most fast food & wada pav centers in the city. INSTEAD OF WASTING MONEY FOR AMBIENCE THEY COULDVE EASILY ADDED 4 MORE TABLES. No table had a menu card either. Sorry - they have only 4 dishes so yeah doesn't make sense to print one. Food: NOTHING GREAT. Wadeshwar, Thambi, Idlicious, are wayyyyy better. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN SATEJ WAS THE BEST SOO...

I mean not all places to be be great. There have to be some places like Satej which serve decent food at decent price where people passing by can just grab a cup of tea and poha or Dosa and move on .

I don't expect they don't have to provide great atmosphere or service and they don't have to . Places like these also have to be part of our food scene. I think google and people are far to obsessed with great food - service- atmosphere. Sometimes we dont need it . I don't need it . I like the way it is.

Satej is a place where friends and family meet over a cutting Chai and small portion of breakfast have good conversation and move on and get back to mundane lives.

Love ❤️ some places the way they are. Tell them if you don't like something and they will correct it and lives move...

Been having lunch at Hotel Satej since few days. Since lockdown, the establishment is operational only on its ground floor. Plans are on to get their 1st floor ready for service as soon as the Baner-Mahalunge Road offices open up for work.

During lunch, the place is still packed with younger IT/Tech crowd which has already resumed work from office!

According to me this place has the most awesome Sambar and Rasam served at Pune. I have spent 20 years at Bangalore and this is like the good Old South Indian taste!!

The pricing is very economical with 3 idlis with sambar & chutney at Rs. 50/- Juices at Rs. 35/- onwards is also great pricing.

Must visit for those missing their sambars and...
