I Visited UpSouth in Baner recently and came away very impressed with the experience. It’s a great spot for those who love authentic South Indian food but want it in a fast-casual, clean, and contemporary setting. Ambience & Location: Located conveniently on Baner road, the place is easy to find with ample parking nearby. The ambience is bright, minimalistic, and clean – perfect for a quick meal or a relaxed bite with friends and family. The seating is casual but comfortable, and everything is self-service, which works well during busy hours. Food & Taste: The menu covers all the South Indian staples – idli, dosa, vada, upma, pongal, and more – along with some fusion items like Mini Idli Chaat and Filter Coffee Smoothie which are fun to try. Mysore Masala Dosa was crispy, generously filled, and full of flavor. Ghee Podi Idli was a highlight – soft idlis tossed in ghee and podi powder, absolutely delicious. Upma was fluffy and well-seasoned. The sambar and chutneys deserve a shoutout – fresh, tasty, and served warm. Ended the meal with their authentic filter coffee, which was strong and satisfying. Service & Cleanliness: Since it’s a self-service model, things move fairly quickly. The staff is efficient, polite, and keep the place well-maintained. Tables were clean, food was served promptly, and even during rush hour, things were well organized. Price Point: Reasonably priced considering the quality, portion sizes, and hygiene. Great value for money, especially if you're craving good South Indian food without breaking the bank. Overall UpSouth Baner is a fantastic place for a quick, hearty, and authentic South Indian meal. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or a light evening snack – you’ll find satisfying options. A must-visit for fans of South Indian cuisine in Pune!

Thos was the worst experience i had on a weekday lunch. Management is worst and no one taking care of the tables. Big No to this restaurant. Ambience: Average Food: I had ordered a south indian thali and ghee podi dosa. We had to wait for 20 minutes to get my order tht too after reminding them multiple times. Then came the first order south infian thali and it was wrong by providing a maharaja thali. Also the plate was not washed such unhygienic it was. Pics added as proof. Then they replaced the thali. Aprt from rice sambar and rasam nothing was soith indian dish. They provided sabji in maharashtrian style. And the pooris were very very oily. 2 nd order ghee podi dosa never came. i was done and went to pay the bill then on counter they say your dosa is ready. That too was a false as it was other tables order which they gived them after i left and i saw that. This restaurant is such a mess. Avoid it at all cost. Save yourself by not going here. Service: Worst. None of the employee know how to work. They do not attend the tables. All confusion between them. Worst experience i ever had in a hotel. :(

I recently visited Upsouth Baner for breakfast, and it was truly a delightful experience. I tried the Kerala Parota with Curry and the Butter Set Dosa, and both dishes exceeded my expectations in terms of flavor and authenticity. The Kerala Parota was perfectly flaky, and the accompanying curry was rich and flavorful. The Butter Set Dosa was a melt-in-your-mouth delight, with just the right amount of buttery goodness. To complement the meal, I also tried their tea, which had the delightful essence of green tea. It added a unique twist to the traditional tea experience and is something I highly recommend trying. The combination of these dishes made for a memorable breakfast that I would gladly revisit. Apart from the fantastic food, the staff was incredibly cooperative and attentive, adding a warm and welcoming touch to the overall dining experience. The ambience of the restaurant was also noteworthy – a perfect blend of comfort and style, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely breakfast or any meal. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional culinary experience.

Upsouth: A South Indian Culinary Delight

From the moment you step into Upsouth, you're greeted by an ambiance that's as warm and inviting as the South Indian sun. The restaurant exudes a happy vibe that's palpable, with vibrant colors and decor that pay homage to the rich cultural tapestry of the South.

The staff at Upsouth are the heart of the establishment – always polite and nice, they make you feel like family. Their recommendations are spot-on, and their service is as swift as it is gracious.

Now, let's talk about the food – the star of the show. The Mysore Masala Dosa is a masterpiece, a perfect blend of crispy edges and a soft, flavorful center, with a filling that's a harmonious mix of spice and comfort. The dosas, golden and lacy, are a testament to the art of South Indian cooking, while the idlis are like fluffy clouds of rice cake goodness, served with a side of rich, aromatic sambar and an array of chutneys that dance on your palate.

Upsouth isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey through the flavors of South India. Whether you're a dosa aficionado or new to the wonders of idli, this is a place that will leave your taste buds singing and your heart full.

Rating: 5/5 – For anyone looking to indulge in authentic South Indian cuisine, Upsouth is a must-visit destination. Prepare to be...

Having visited numerous Upsouth outlets, I can confidently say that the Baner location is the best I have experienced. My affinity for their food began with a delightful encounter at their small outlet in Pune Airport, and I have been a devoted fan ever since.

What sets the Upsouth in Baner apart is its exceptional ambiance. The interior embraces the traditional South Indian Nālukettu design, reminiscent of a Tharavadu (traditional Kerala home), featuring a central Nadumuttam (courtyard open to the sky). The rustic charm is accentuated by the intentionally exposed brickwork, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

The service is impressively fast and efficient. The staff members are exceptionally pleasant, consistently smiling while taking orders, serving food, and ensuring guests have everything they need.

As always, the food is outstanding. While slightly customized to cater to the North Indian palate, as evident in the sambhar, the ghee roast dosa remains authentically South Indian, delivering a true taste of the region.

Prices are reasonable, and the restaurant provides parking for a few cars and bikes outside, adding to the overall...
