This weekend, plan a visit to #EffingutBrewerkz!
Why? As if you really need to know a reason for the same! Read below to know more...
You can never say NO to Effingut if you happen to be in KP, Baner or Kharadi. So a few days ago I was at kp for some work and it’s always a delight to head to Effingut.
The new menu options and additions in beer menu looks great here this time! I believe the pricing is also very reasonable and I must also add that the staff at any effingut takes really good care of guests no matter what time you land up there and with whom. I would like to appreciate all of the people there in service section and especially Sameeran. He really makes the entire expression seamless and homely with ordering and service part. No fuss whatsoever! The entire management - take a Bow🙏🏻
This time I went there for half an hr but eventually ended up being there for 2 and a half hrs. Tried out a few new beers and couple of new food options added in the new menu.
New Zealand IPA - The balance is really great, indeed a sessionable IPA. Hop lovers can be dazzled, but the unsuspecting drinker may find its juicy bouquet overwhelming. The flavor profile runs from fruity, tropical notes of lychee and mango to fresh crushed gooseberries and spicy black pepper. The entire glass or pitcher carries an exciting fruit aroma with refreshing notes of tropical fruit and citrus. I was skepticle to try this one but #Sameeran insisted on to try it out. Oh boy, I totally love this out. Ordered a glass first but had to settle with a stein later. Super amazing Nelson sauvin and motueka hops keeps the final product citrus and hoppy. Read about these hops in details later and came to know that they are much in demand these days. Hence, NZIPA - a new ❤️
Also I didn’t missed on gulping a round of my absolute favourite heffe here. Always a charmer!
#GunturChicken - The guntur chicken works its fire on the palate and especially when you didn’t had anything in the morning for breakfast. It Totally blew my mind with its splendid deliciousness and texture. Tender and succulent pieces of chicken in spicy red masala made of red chilli powder, ginger and garlic , so fondly guntur chillies😊 and curry leaves with a assorted parottas was a riot of flavours in mouth. Loved this dish so much ordered a round two within an hr itself !
#DevilledEggs - Eggs with a twist in a spicy feel. My eggiterian friend loved it. Something new to order whenever in mood.
#LotusStem - My friend in Veg section Loved this new dish. He hadn’t tried lotus stem before and he was like aftering eating a spoon full of it, OMG, this is dayummmm gooood! (Probably planning to order a bunch of lotus stem from big basket at try hand at cooking the same with different recipes later) Definitely a fantastic new menu addition at effingut.
#Tiramisu - A perfect dessert to sum-up the entire tale with !
P.S. - I loved the sassy gesture by management by putting a placard in washroom area and asking the guests to report the issue of cleanliness to the server or manager directly if they find WC dirty or un-hygienic at all. Bold move and very much needed. I mean I always hate it when I find the washroom of such restaurants dirty and it becomes very uncomfortable especially when you’re bringing your new friends and people to such favourite place of yours for the very first time. फ़ज़ीहत हो जाती है बिल्कुल भाईसाब! I have a list of such places which are still my favourites in the town and doesn't take much care of their washroom areas, but I hope they do take a note of this and improve on the quality level with this micro-step taken by none other than sabka favourite - Effingut Pune!

Read moreI have been here at least 20 times if not more :) I love Effingut! Oh and did I tell you..I don't drink beer :)
There is already enough said about their beers and I don't think anybody is complaining. What I would like to talk about today is their food. Their freaking amazing food!
They have a varied menu, From Italian to Chinese to Indian to Thai, they have a little of everything.
Food: Top Recommends:
Chicken Nachos Served with a salsa sauce, Effingut nails their Nachos.I read somewhere that nachos is their highly sold item.High on quantity, chicken pieces and cheese sauce, I am not surprised why this is a winner. The veg one is equally good I hear.
Fish/Prawns in mustard chilly sauce Slightly spicy, slightly tangy, full of flavors. I simply love this one.
Butter Chicken Combo Effingut doesn't serve you the typical sweet butter chicken. They serve you some succulent pieces of chicken in a heavenly red gravy. This combo comes with 2 small rotis and a bowl of rice. You can always order extra rotis.
Chicken Satay Extremely well done. Effingut serves one of the best Chicken Satays.Be sure to top your satays with their peanut sauce.
Burmese Khowsuey Heaven. Mild on spices. High on flavors. I love their Khowsuey. They serve a lot of condiments and so you can have your Khowsuey the way you like it.
Others: Chicken Caesar Salad The iceberg leaves are crisp and fresh. The dressing is light and not overpowering.Croutons and chicken pieces in abundance. A good one. Quantity is really good. Can suffice as a meal for one person or can be shared between 2/3 people.
Veg Alfredo Pasta/Pesto Pasta Effingut doesn't serve the best italian food in town for sure. But the pasta they serve is definitely good. Go for it, only if you are craving pasta :)Else there are other better options for you.
Chicken Biryani I just had their biryani once, found it dry. Didn't like it much.Never ordered it again.
Chicken Peri Peri Soft pieces of chicken. Slightly spicy. Go for it if you want to eat something spicy.
Jerk Chicken Again good. Though I don't like the pineapple salsa that comes with it. But that's because I don't like pineapples. :)If you like the sweet and tangy flavors of a pineapple, this will be a good try.
Butter Garlic Prawns They serve pretty big and fresh prawns. They definitely do justice to the good old butter garlic sauce.
Ambiance: Excellent for office lunches. Their music is on low volume and you can talk freely. And they give you a flat 30% discount for weekday lunches, straight winner!
Live Music Evenings! I think this happens on Thursdays? Do get this confirmed please.I have just visited them twice on the live music evenings. But oh boy, what a fantastic ambiance! We sang along to many songs and had a great great time!
Service: Always prompt and helpful. And smiling! :)
To sum it up: Ambience: 4.5 Food: 5 Service:...
Read moreEffingut in Koregaon Park is more than just a brewery—it’s practically an institution for Pune’s beer lovers. The minute you step in, you're enveloped by a heady mix of buzzing conversations, clinking glasses, warm wooden interiors, and a retro-rock soundtrack that sets the mood just right. Whether you're settling in after a long workday or catching up with friends on the weekend, Effingut has that rare ability to feel both familiar and exciting.
We kicked things off with their Mango Cider, a vibrant ode to summer. It struck a beautiful balance between the natural sweetness of Alphonso mango and the refreshing crispness of a finely carbonated brew. The sweetness gently gave way to a tangy finish, leaving behind a lush, tropical aftertaste that kept us reaching for more. Next came the Amchur Gondhoraj IPA—easily one of the most interesting beers on the menu. The tang of amchur gave it a zesty, palate-awakening edge, while the fragrant Gondhoraj lemon brought in a bold citrus burst. A little on the bitter side, yes, but definitely memorable. We also sipped on the Apple Cider, with its crisp champagne-like carbonation and mildly tart, sweet finish—light and easy, yet satisfying.
The food menu wasn’t just a sideshow either. We began with the Karari Roti—think a crisp, roomali-style base topped with onions, tomatoes, coriander, and a medley of spices. We took it up a notch by adding mutton keema on the side, and the combo was just spectacular—crunch, spice, and savoury meatiness in every bite. For mains, we ventured into sushi territory and ordered the Rainbow Roll, a beautiful medley of crab stick, salmon, tuna, avocado, and spicy Japanese mayo. It was fresh, well-rolled, and flavourful—worth the 20-minute wait.
Final verdict: 4/5 Effingut continues to hold its own as one of Pune’s top haunts for craft beer and comfort pub food. A few elements could’ve been sharper, but the overall experience—ambience, drinks, food—still hits the mark. Great for beer enthusiasts and casual...
