Read moreBodega or Boteco or Botequim are all quintessentially the watering holes of social affinity, harmony and propinquity in Latin American Countries, Spain or even Philippines for that matter! It has an array of meanings ranging from a wine cellar to a wayside shack.
You can choose between Lamb, Buff, Pork and Chicken- we went for their Sunday Lunch which akin to the brunch and carries a fare of 1399/- per head plus taxes and service charge; reasonable considering the portion of grilled meats you can savour. Only exception is that in this option they won't serve you any lamb which was disheartening. Drinks are not included in it- both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are to be purchased separately and are charged. We ordered a Red wine Sangria Pitcher which costs 2K and some Yavasura Beer.
Service is measured which is probably the only pitfall to the whole fray- it is an all you can eat and if you need anything you have to ask- and you'll get! Service staff is amenable and knows the menu literatim which is a plus.
They bought in the grilled meats or rodizio spread- half a watermelon adorned with skewers of buff and chicken wrapped in bacon, pork sausages, pork chunks, buff chimichurri, buff in brine grill to name some. There are sides as well like fried cassava, two dips, sautéed shrooms, salad and some garlic bread.
Desserts we asked and they served some churros with dark chocolate and caramelised condensed milk to dip. I am apparently pleased with the overall feel the place catered to, the interiors and the tenor and energy to the place. Final pocket pinch for four of us was around 10K. Would I want to come...

The good part
The pork ribs with bbq sauce @1200 is to happily pay for. We ordered 2. Juicy, saucy and so very perfect....there was a tiny bit left over which I couldn't bear to leave behind so I got it packed. The tenderloin steak@640 with its assortment of tiny bowls with butter, a dip/sauce, pineapple with mustard seeds, tapioca... aaah.... I prefer my steak a little wetter, this was slightly dry but flavourful. Luckily we ordered just one dessert. Almond tuiles with fresh seasonal fruit @370. I love the presentation and the kiwi and apple slices which were delicious with the cream and crispy tuiles. What really worked for me is that though it was a tad bit too creamy, it was just sweet enough. Drinks Their Brazilian Mimosa (a wine cocktail =I had it in orange flavour @520 ) is superb and my friend enjoyed the Darth Vader mocktail (happy blackcurrant notes @220). For four of us the bill was a little short of 8 k. It included pegs of Absolut and Captain Morgan. And the price is worth it.
The REALLY SAD Part Apart from one waiter who told us quite rudely that the pork costs 1200 in a tone that implied we perhaps could not afford it...shocker and a big disappointment at the start of the visit. We let that pass. Later we were served by a lady and since we were focussed on enjoying our evening we didn't let that bother us, but it has stayed on in our minds. Didn't complain to the management because the focus was on conversation amongst us. Service charge is...
