Talli Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Pune

If you’re looking for a place to chug a few drinks with your friends, have really good food and if Bollywood tunes get you in to the groove - Talli Koregaon park is the place for you !

Firstly, the ambience and the decor have a welcoming club - setting up the mood for a party as you walk in. Graffiti on the walls add to the ambience. For the ones who like it loud and would want to dance, I’d recommend to be seated inside. The open seating is more the ones wanting to have a conversation and the music playing in the background.

Besides the usual spirits, they have a variety of cocktails to offer. Each cocktail on the menu is unique and suits a certain mood - if I may say so. Like there are the fruity ones, then some dark one and the lighter ones with liquors to be consumed after meals. The staff is very courteous and helpful and they’re delighted to offer their recommendations as well.

The food too is unique. You’ll find a lot of fusion foods on the menu. Hesitant at first, I tried the chicken yaki Tori, coconut infused chicken chettinad and chicken ghee roast burger and found them to be really delicious. However, my favourite dish is the creamy garlic prawns. Frankly, I haven’t tasted such a unique prawn preparation. This dish has always disappeared within seconds of service.

At first look, one would think that the portion size is too little. But let me clarify, it’s good value for money. So the portion size is adjusted accordingly !

Lastly, a special mention for the host. He’s a great guy and attends to everyone stepping in, personally. Do ask him for recommendations and customisations for your drinks. The personal touch he adds to the ‘Talli’ experience makes my friends wanna go back to this place everytime.

I visited the place with a friend for some drinks and appetizers. I arrived there by 6.20pm and wanted to have some beers but I got disappointed there as soon as the service person started taking orders. The reason for disappointment was the unavailability of my choice of beers, only 3 options were available: Heineken, Bira white and carlsberg despite mentioning a lot of options in the menu. As we're already sitting there so don't want to leave the place and go for other options nearby. So we decided to suppress our interest and ordered a Heineken beer bucket. They served the drink super chilled which is perfectly ok and now it's time for appetizers. We ordered Cottage Seekh Kabab . It took almost 20 min to deliver which again was disappointing but the taste was good. Then we ordered Chilli Soya Chap and it took almost 30+ min to deliver despite it was told it will be delivered in 10 min. I raised my disappointment about the service then they gave one complimentary peanuts as snacks. My order arrived and it did not meet my expectations though.

Just to share some words about washroom, they named male washroom as Bewda and female washroom as Bewd. Bathroom was clean and no smell were there but tissue paper was not there, later they put it. But overall it was not giving that much fresh feeling.

About pricing, it's very high considering facilities and services provided, though if one book it through Zomato,swiggy or dineout, he/she will get discount over the full bill.

As you can see the table was loaded . Starters were scrumptious , everything from plating to presentation , was done gourmet kitchen style!

My personal favourite was stuffed mushrooms. ( I know veg favourite, thats weird) . The detailing of mushrooms was done to the perfection and thats what made it better from what other places serve!

From main course, i gotta say i am sorry but here too my favourite was a veg dish - Chef special cottage cheese mousse curry . Hence 10 ratings out of 5 . It was so creamy and so good that paneer almost melted in my mouth . Serving was also great. Second favourite - Lebanese biryani . Chicken pieces were tender and cooked to perfection and had a glaze which i loved!

For a good ending we had a choco lava cake . Damn that thing was so fancy . It melted just by putting a scoop of vanilla ice cream over it . That was so gastronomic!

It is a well designed place with awesome service and a great place to hangout .
