Location 📍 Was a bit hard too find it cause Bund Garden road is one way. So i had to take a u-turn towards Koregaon Park to reach the location. Google Maps was not helpful at all and inaccurate. I had to call the staff to finally find the place.
Pomodoro Minestrone soup 🥣 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ was very refreshing and homely.
Truffle Arancini with Aioli 🍘 ⭐️ was terrible. Needed some better condiment to taste good. There was barely any filling inside the rice which was mushy.
Basil mushroom burrata Pizza 🍕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tasted really good. I loved the crust which was thick and crispy. The mushroom paté was different and the burrata tasted fresh.
Cannelloni Alla Florentina 🍝 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The description seemed interesting so i ordered it. It was DIVINE. Tubes of pasta filled with well seasoned mix of ricotta cheese and spinach slathered with fresh tomato sauce. It was so tasty... I could have eaten a big bowl of it.
Sicilia Pizza 🍕 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There were so many toppings. The crust was thin. Overall the Pizza was very filling. It's good value for money.
Tres Leches cake 🍰 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tasted lovely. The cake was soft and doused in sweet tres leches milk. It was not too sweet and saffron was vibing throughout the dessert.
Tiramisu Italiano cake 🍮 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tasted refreshing. It looked very good as well. Could taste coffee throughout and it was so soft. The cream/mousse over the ladyfingers was very light and airy.
Ambience 🥂 Inhouse seems to be a bit cramped. Tables are nice. But there were few loud customers and it was a bit annoying while trying to have a conversation.
Service 🤹🏻♂️ Not very happy with it. The server didn't seem very interested in helping us select the dishes. All the employees were standing at the end of the hall and gossiping loudly which felt extremely disrespectful and i changed to a different tables so that we could get more privacy and less noise.
Other ✌🏻 Food always arrived on time. Got good discount through District.
Overall ✳️ Love the menu. Want to try other dishes as well but I'll prefer going to another location than this one. But overall had a good experience. It's expensive but quality is good. Nice to visit for special occasions to try out unique...
Read moreLittle Italy is the prime example of how efficient management can convert a possible 1 star review into a 3 star review. We ordered the ravioli crocante, zuppa verdure, gnocchi al forno and corn cheese balls. The soup came with oven dried croutons which were not that great and would tranform into a soggy lump the moment they touched the soup. I wish we had the option of a fried crouton. The soup itself was actually good. The ravioli crocante was delicious but once we were halfway done we noticed a stand of hair in the ravioli which was subsequently replaced. The corn cheese balls were one of the best I have ever eaten whereas the gnocchi al forno had delicious homemade gnocchi gratinated with parmesan cheese. The sauce here could have been slightly thicker. We also found a hair strand in the it as well but the waiter said he will confirm with the chef what the identity of the stand was. And this brings me to why, in spite of the good food, I have only given three stars. The service was abysmal to say the least. We were largely abandoned unless the waiter brought over our food or brought over our menu and expected us to place the orders immediately. We were not provided any tissues. We had to ask for every piece of cutlery. Initially the food was served without any spoon or fork. Then, after requesting, they provided only a fork. Then separately, after requesting, they provided us with spoons. We would sit with empty glasses until we requested for water. These are hospitality basics. I wanted to order a cake from the cafeteria but I noticed an insect crawling. I pointed it out to the employee who said it might have come from the packaging. This was definitely not reassuring. Finally, I shared my grievances with the manager who not only apologized, but also insisted on providing us a complementary dessert (blueberry cheesecake) and waived of the charge for the pasta. The hospitality of the manager is the entire reason I would want to be back here and give them...
Read moreI recently dined at Little Italy on Bund Garden Road and ordered a variety of dishes, including Pomodoro Minestrone, Ravioli Crocante, Pizza Napoli, and Nachos with Cheese and Beans. Let me provide you with a professional review of your dining experience.
Firstly, the Pomodoro Minestrone, a tomato-based soup containing a variety of vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, eggplant, onions, zucchini, and kidney beans, left a favorable impression despite the eggplant being a less preferred ingredient in the soup. However, it was noted that the flavor profile of the soup was slightly bland.
Next, the Ravioli Crocante, which are fried ravioli stuffed with cheese and peppers and served with garlic mayo and tomato dip, was not a standout dish, as the fried ravioli was deemed too hard. Instead, it is suggested that the ravioli pasta be sampled instead of the fried version.
On the other hand, the Pizza Napoli was highly recommended, with the option to adjust the spice level to personal preference. This pizza was enjoyed immensely, with its spicy flavors providing a satisfying and authentic taste of Italian cuisine.
Finally, the Nachos with Cheese and Beans was recommended for all patrons. However, it is suggested that the captain be requested to serve the nachos and beans separately, to avoid them becoming soggy.
Overall, Little Italy provided a positive dining experience, with the Pizza Napoli and Nachos with Cheese and Beans being the standout dishes. The service was noteworthy, and the ambiance was pleasant. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to indulge in authentic...
