You get mesmerised as soon as you step into the restaurant - the interiors, aesthetics, and vibe everything is on-point. They have worked on all the details that surely impress you with the big picture of a lady smoking a pipe, the wall of Chinese cat dolls, and the roof made with all beautiful paintings creating a perfect vibe for an amazing experience. Their seating is also well spaced and very comfortable. The service at Mamagoto is just fantastic. Mr. Surya attended us during the visit and gave the best service possible well-spoken, well-versed with the entire menu, and always on toes to serve us the best. We were thoroughly impressed with him and the entire team.
Now let us take a look and their culinary offerings As soon as you settle down they serve a bowl full of rice crackers and sauce. This is a good gesture as you don't have to stay hungry while ordering your food. We started with a Soup Bhupi's Comfort Soup for the Corporate Soul I read the name and I knew it I'm having this one, the name itself is so interesting and chef Bhupi has done justice. The light broth with vegetables and chicken was super yummy and as the name suggests it was comforting.
Then we moved to starters. Sushi Soft Shell Crab Uramaki Absolutely fantastic roll. Super fresh and high quality ingredients hand rolled with love. It was a real pleasure eating this Uramaki. If you are a sushi lover then this one is a must try.
Dim Sum Roasted Duck & Shitake Pot Stickers Think layered dim sums filled with flavorful duck and mushrooms were pan tossed to crisp. Meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked which enhanced the experience.
Spicy Prawns Sui Mai This was a soul warming dish. Four delicate and delicious dim sums served in a lovey sauce. The sauce was similar to tom kha with very thin consistency. This one another must try here.
Mains: Kolkata Spicy Noodles Ooohh la la! Perfect Chindian (Chinese + Indian) dish. We all know journey of Chinese cuisine in India began at Kolkata and this dish is a perfect representation of that journey. Mind you, this is spicy and that was my favorite part.
Mamagoto means Play with the food and here thy have played with food, they are not authentic Asian but Asian inspired pan-Asian cuisine. Our entire experience was fantastic, from start to end everything was more than expected. Thank you so much...

Let me start by extolling the Veg Steamed Wonton, a dish that truly stole the show. With each delicate bite, I was enveloped in a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. The subtle blend of vegetables encased in a perfectly crafted wrapper was a testament to the chef's mastery. It was nothing short of awesome, leaving me craving for more long after the last bite.

While some might shy away from its fiery demeanor, I found myself relishing every spicy sensation that awakened my taste buds. Ambience : It is an eclictic mix of the cosmopolitan and the bohemian. The dim lights, vibrant interiors, intense colors, understated music entices you without being outrageous.
Food: For mocktails we had Cranberry + Kafir Lime punch, Kiwi + Mint Collins & Watermelon Beach. The citrus flavor of the kafir lime balanced the sweetness of cranberry juice perfectly. The multifaceted kiwi along with lime n mint was a stunner. The watermelon chunks mixed with lime n hint of mint was a summer classic.
The Som Tam Salad was a perfect amalgamation of fresh, sweet, sour, crunchy and hot. Even the papaya-hating me relished every spoonful of that salad.
For starters we had Katsu chicken, Ebi Tempura and Crispy Mushroom Maki(sushi). These were ample bits of filling wrapped in rice, with cucumber n sesame seeds for the crunch in bite sized portions. The dainty sushi was well balanced by the piquant flavor of wasabi. My favorites being the Crispy Mushroom and Ebi Tempura.
In dimsums we tried Prawn n Celery Dumpling, Rainbow Chicken Dumpling and Crystal Dumpling veg. The thinly coated dimsums were bang on the texture and taste. The Crystal Veg Dumpling and Prawn dumpling stood out for me. This was clearly visible by the extra servings that I took.
For the mains we had Chiang Mai train station noodles(khaoseuy), Hakka Noodles, Fried Rice, Chicken with Garlic and Star Aniseed aroma with Crispy Spinach, Crispy Fish Fillet in Spicy Black Pepper Sauce. It was one gud hearty bowl of khaosuey slightly missing out on the flavours. No words for The Hakka Noodles and Fried Rice. They were delightful. The chicken was succulent n oozing with flavors. The fish was fresh, flaky, flavorful and the show-stealer.
For desserts we had The homemade American style chunky caramel sponge cake served with toffee sauce. It was finger-licking fantastic. Oh! What a way to end the day!!!
Verdict: The place, the food, the staff and the portions say it all. The perfect place for outing with family/friends in a casual atmosphere. Go ahead, bring the...
