TGI Fridays — Restaurant in Pune

I have visited TGIF couple of times. And I have had mixed experiences.To be honest, I think they have lost their initial charm and class.TGIF is not a place I would go for a special occasion anymore. Service, food quality..everything is going down nowadays.

Based on my last visit:

Chicken wings- Ghost pepper Amazing stuff. Finger licking good. The sauce and the tender meat is just perfect.Yes, it's spicy but very tasty too.

2.Chicken wings- Jack Daniel Tabasco Slightly sweet..this one is a winner too. Highly recommended.

Jack Daniels Shake The first time we had it, it was served as a thick chocolate milk with a heavy dose of Jack Daniels, topped with whipped cream and ice cream.Second time we had it, the dose of Jack Daniels dropped drastically while everything else stayed the same.On my last visit, all I got was a lousy thin chocolate milkshake with hardly a hint of Jack Daniels. No whipped cream. No ice cream.And btw, one drink costs Rs. 800. Absolutely not worth it.

Fish and Chips Yes, this they do alright. The fish sizes could be better for the price they charge.

Fried Mozarella Sticks This was good. Cheesy..crispy..this was perfect.

6.Jack Daniels Chicken Burger Huge quantity. Enough for two. Sort of does justice for the price. Not juicy enough though.

Tenderloin Steak Biggest disappointment. We asked for a well done steak and yet..yet..my steak wasn't cooked enough for me. It was a huge piece, so the difference was too evident. The rub was just enough for the meat. So when I had a small piece of the steak, all I could taste was the raw meat. Spat it out immediately.4 hard core meat lovers on the table. Nobody liked it. I have had steak in various parts of the world and this one missed everything- cooking, the sauce, the rub..everything was bad. We just returned the whole plate and said we didn't like it.

TGIF is an expensive place. If you are charging high rates, then you need to deliver quality. There is no bargaining there.

They charge almost 800 rs per cocktail. And then they serve you extremely diluted drinks. It's just not acceptable.

I cannot pay 3000+ per couple for a lousy experience. I don't see myself going...

As this is one of the big chain restaurants over the world. They have 2 branches in Pune. We heard good review about TGI for other location. It was a Saturday night, We booked a table for 4 people but after we reached we got to know they didn't kept any table reserved for us. The manager was arranged one table after few minuets. They have both Indoor and outdoor seating. The Indoor arrangement is good and the place is bit happening. But the outside seating arrangement is average, so while booking ask for Indoor table.

One point they need to take care is the service. It's very slow and the table representatives are not knowledgeable about the menu. The time taken for a dish to serve is more than half n hour. They took more than 20 mins to serve a Beer. Service was very poor.

We ordered Fried mozeralla Sticks,Pepper roasted chicken,tomato basil soup and Pasta puttanesca. Crispy and golden outside, filled with cheese inside and creamy in taste. Delicious cheese fried nuggets. A must try dish for veterinarian people.

One half chicken roasted with chilli pepper sauce. served with fries. The softness and juicy of chicken is perfect. The taste was delicious and must try dish. This was one of the worst pasta i ever had. The pasta was not properly boiled and not properly cooked Peach honey smash is mix of Whiskey,honey ,fresh lemon and lime juices,peach puree. Strawberry lynchburg , A famous citrus classic is shaken with strawberries and jack Daniel's. The cocktails are best...

I usually don't bother to review the places I eat and drink at but the experience was so bad that I am making time on a Friday to do so.

First and foremost they do no accept payment through Zomato, Swiggy or EazyDiner during happy hours even though they don't mention the same while advertising themselves with 'Flat 20% off' on the platform.

I ordered LIIT - I must say, it was the most sweet LIIT I ever tasted. So for my +1 drink I asked them to reduce the sweet and sour mix that they were probably adding by 50%. The result - in my next drink they added cranberry juice and made it more sweet. It was barely drinkable. Who adds cranberry juice to LIIT? And even if you do there is surely a ratio you got to follow. After all its alcohol, not a juice mocktail.

The service was also quite poor considering I had to make quite an effort to get the attention of the person working there in an almost empty establishment (there were only 2 other people at a table nearby - and I could figure that they also had some complaints with their bill). So I was surprised to see the 'Service Charge' added in my bill in the end(I did not ask it to be added and certainly did not intend to give any after my poor experience).

To top it all - it was my birthday and I wanted to have some quality happy time by myself. Alas! It was not...
