Hi!So Marrakesh is known to have one of the best Shawarma's in Pune! The Shawarma's are very tasty as a matter of fact!
Food - I would rate it 4/5 The food is very good here.
I have tried a lot of dishes here. I went today and ordered- Dajaj Shawarma- I loved it!. I asked for it spicy because I like spicy food. I have eaten the Shawarma without additional spice as well ,and both the times it was amazing. The Humus sauce gives the roll the amazing taste. It contains Tahini and beetroot which just elevate the taste of the roll. There are small chunks of chicken. Just yum! Chicken chops- I love this kebab! its like my all time favorite in this restaurant. Really soft ,juicy, tender with a creepy sauce on it which is also yum! A must try .. Makrana Kebab- A very well cooked ,with bone chicken starter! no flaws . only that its too tasty.. Murg Nizami- Well cooked and tasty. 5.Murg Achari Tikka- well cooked. Not spicy and tasty. Murg Kali Mirch- nicely made. Not bad.I have also had - Murg Lahori- Really nice main course in chicken. I would recommend you to ask them to make it spicy. The spice elevated the taste. Its boneless. You should have this with their Whole Wheat Romali roti. It tastes amazing. Open Face Dajaj Shawarma- Its almost the same thing as the Daja Shawarma only that it is not wrapped around pita bread but served separately with pita bread. And it is served with the same kind of sauce and stuffings only that they are well mixed this time. Peshawar Dal- The dal is tasty. They should cook it for a little more time then it will taste amazing.
The location is ok. Parking may be a problem and in the evening it definitely is as it is KLN. The ambiance is pretty disappointing. Gives it a feel of a takeaway type of a restaurant. The seating arrangement they have above is not comfortable and there are hardly any tables.
The staff is not attentive. If you are sitting up then they do take a while to come and communicate. During times of rush, they might be in a hurry. The place they make the Shawarma should be cleaner as there are a lot of flies and insects around. Food needs to be covered well.
Otherwise, it is not very expensive, and overall...
Read moreMy recent visit to Marrakesh restaurant in Kalyani Nagar left me with mixed feelings, earning it a three-star rating.
Positives:
Ambiance: Marrakesh offers a charming and cozy ambiance with its Moroccan-inspired decor, dim lighting, and comfortable seating. It's a pleasant place for a relaxed meal with friends or family.
Cuisine Variety: The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes, which is a welcome change from the usual dining options. It's a great place to try something different.
Negatives:
Service: Unfortunately, the service was somewhat inconsistent during my visit. While the staff was friendly, there were noticeable delays in taking orders and delivering food. It affected the overall dining experience.
Food Quality: While some dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, others fell short of expectations. The inconsistency in food quality was disappointing. The flavors didn't always match the authentic Moroccan taste I was hoping for.
Pricing: The prices at Marrakesh seemed a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes and overall dining experience offered. It didn't feel like a great value for money.
Limited Vegetarian Options: If you are a vegetarian, you might find the menu options limited compared to non-vegetarian choices. More variety in vegetarian dishes would be appreciated.
In conclusion, Marrakesh in Kalyani Nagar has the potential to be a unique dining destination with its interesting ambiance and cuisine. However, improvements in service consistency and food quality are needed to provide a more satisfying dining experience. While it's worth a visit for the ambiance and trying something different, it falls short of being a top-tier...

We tried the Malai Chicken (soft, juicy, and creamy), Chicken Salad (refreshing and well-balanced), Hummus with Pita Bread (smooth, rich, and comforting), and their Biryani (aromatic and full of flavor). And of course, dessert was a must — the Bounty Tart was heavenly, with the perfect coconut-chocolate balance.
