Hyatt Regency Pune & Residences — Hotel in Pune

Overall had a bad experience here. Main issues were: Being told 30 mins prior to check in our residential rooms were not ready and no resolution until we arrived. Being told both rooms would be available the next day and they were not. Had to repeatedly be on top of staff to have second room available in time for our guests. Hosting a reception at the buffet and after confirming 3 separate times that all will be ready, only to be told once we arrived with our guests that we didn't fill out a form to have the tables put together and no signs or staff to let other guests know that the area was reserved for our party. Wait staff not coming to the reserved area to check on guests. Had to ask multiple times for staff to come fill water glasses. Even escalated the poor service to 2 different managers with no change in service. Having local, out of town, and out of country guests all get severe food poisoning that lasted several days. The buffet was the only place everyone ate in common.

Definitely will not waste our money here again. Too many issues in handling just a small 20 person wedding event, they cannot be trusted for the main 500-800 person wedding next year.

Hotel staff needs to take some pointers from the security staff. As security staff were the only ones that were respectful, polite and helpful. Don't waste your time with this hotel who treats you condescendingly and rudely. Check out the Marriott a few mins away instead. We stayed there the first night since our rooms were not ready here and their staff was beyond wonderful. I wished we had just stayed the entire trip...

Me along with another couple were celebrating our Wedding Anniversaries on 26 Jan. 2 rooms were booked for 2nights. During check-in on enquiry we were shocked there was nothing special done even though we mentioned details during our booking. The person at the counter too didn't have the courtesy to wish us. When I complained to the duty manager Mr. Wasim. someone was sent to decorate our rooms at 8 in the night and next day a bottle of wine was sent only in one room. I returned the bottle during check out and shared my displeasure as to why would a bottle be sent to one room only. They apologized and were ok to give us another bottle of wine which we REFUSED.

Rooms were booked with breakfast and dinner. Their breakfast has many options but most of the times the chafing dishes are empty and when asked why a common response "KHATAM HO GAYA". Even panner paratha was not an option available cause got the same response "KHATAM HO GAYA". I spoke to the head chef on Saturday and shared my feedback hoping things would be better on Sunday, but it was the same.

Dinner options are fairly better but if your early. They could not serve us Pasta with White sauce as "KHATAM HO GAYA" I have been spending my wedding anniversary in many hotels for a long time and this was by far the worst. If your looking for a memorable or an uncommon experience this is definitely not the place!!

I guess what they need is management take a look at things on a micro level. The need professionals, people with empathy, people with an understanding of how the hospitality industry works. Very Disappointed Hyatt...
