Decent Spot for Group Hangouts – Sash Cocktail Bar & Restaurant, Viman Nagar
Sash Cocktail Bar & Restaurant is conveniently located at the ground floor entrance of the Sky Max building in Viman Nagar, making it easy to find and access. I visited with a large group of around 25 friends for an afternoon gathering, and here’s my honest take:
🍽️ Ambience & Space The venue isn’t very spacious, but it’s decent enough to accommodate medium-sized groups. It has a dance floor, which adds a fun vibe to the place—great for those looking to let loose and enjoy some music. However, I did notice that the ventilation on the dance floor was a bit lacking, which made it feel slightly stuffy during peak activity.
🍕 Food & Menu The food quality was good, and we enjoyed what was served. However, the menu was surprisingly restricted during our visit. I wasn’t able to order what I originally wanted, and unfortunately, no alternative options were offered by the staff. This was a bit disappointing and the only major downside of the experience.
⏱️ Service & Staff Service was slightly slow, especially considering we were a large group. That said, the staff were cooperative and courteous, which helped make the experience smoother despite the delay.
🎉 Overall Experience In summary, Sash is a decent place for casual outings, especially if you're going with a group and want a mix of food, drinks, and dancing. It’s not too great, but not bad either. The main letdown was the limited menu availability, which I hope they improve...
Read moreVisited Sash Cocktail Bar and Kitchen based on its impressive 4.9 Google rating, but the experience was shockingly subpar. This place does not live up to the hype.
Ambiance: Located on the ground floor of a tower, the bar is open on three sides and lacks the vibe of a proper cocktail lounge. The seating arrangement is cramped, and the space can barely accommodate 30 people. There’s no dance floor, contrary to the images and videos shared online, which appear to be completely misleading.
Service: Service was horrible—unresponsive and slow. The staff seemed indifferent and poorly trained. Many items on the menu were unavailable, adding to the frustration.
Food and Drinks: The food was below average, with limited options to choose from. Cocktails were outright disappointing, especially the Hot Toddy, which was undrinkable. They also seemed to be out of stock for several drink options. The 50% discount on Swiggy Dineout is the only saving grace, but even at discounted rates, the experience felt like a waste.
Verdict: Sash Cocktail Bar and Kitchen feels more like a local joint than a premium spot. The reviews and photos online are misleading, creating false expectations. The subpar service, poor food and drink quality, and cramped ambiance make it a place to avoid. If their goal is to ensure customers never return, they’re...
Read moreThis restaurant provided an appalling experience. The staff was incredibly rude. The entire experience felt like a power trip from the front-of-house staff. Upon arrival, the person at the entrance asked for identification. Though this is understandable for age-restricted items, the staff refused to accept a government-issued original ID. Instead, they insisted on an ID from the DigiLocker app. The original ID is a valid form of identification, yet the staff would not budge from this rule. The customers waited 10–15 minutes trying to reason, but the staff repeated the demands. When the customers managed to move past this obstacle, they were met with more rules. They were told to sit at a specific table and were refused when they asked to sit at another vacant table. The restaurant was not full, so there was no logical reason for the restriction. After the delays and unwelcoming attitude, the customers left. The experience was an example of poor management and terrible customer service. The customers were treated poorly. There are other restaurants in the area that would appreciate business and treat customers with respect. This establishment seems more interested in enforcing rigid rules than in providing a welcoming dining experience. The customers will not be returning and would advise others to...
