Soy Como Soy which means I am what I am in Spanish. You were confused with the word soy right? Don't worry you were right, this place serves Nikkei cuisine. Nikkei is Japanese - Peruvian fusion food, hence Soy Como Soy has an influence of Asian as well as South American culture in their cuisine. Iceberg hospitality has always been experimental and innovative in its ventures and Soy Como Soy is its brainchild - Pune's most sought-after fine dining place and also the city's first Nikkei restaurant. The makers of the restaurant have paid attention to all the minute details. The place is consist of 2 sections outdoors with a smoking area and indoors with a small private dining space. The decor is beautifully done with minimal yet classy designs. They have interesting and unique cutlery as well. Service here is super efficient. The staff is well-versed in hospitality etiquette. The knowledge of the staff about the entire culture adds to the experience.

Let's discuss some F&B Let's start with their exceptional mixology. They have a big bar stocked with one of the finest spirits available. Their mixologists should be called magicians as they don't make the drinks they make potions. I tried the following cocktails Pecky Melon - Gin with musk melon. Mayan OF - A different version of classic Old Fashion Oregin-To - G&T with a twist of Origano Better with Time - Wine-based cocktails All the cocktails were delectable and nicely potent. They use premium alcohol, the best ingredients, and fine techniques to create these, and everything can be tasted with every sip. From the bar let's move towards the kitchen, we indulged in the following preparations from Pune's only Nikkei kitchen. Avocado Crispy Rice cakes - Spicy rice cakes topped with creamy avocado Chicken Robata Grill - Beautifully charred chicken glazed with Japanese BBQ sauce and served on a mini grill Wild Mushroom Truffle Salsa Cheung Fun - Rice noodle rolls stuffed with wild mushrooms and white truffle oil. Miso Ebi - Prawns with miso and parmesan Spicy Jalapeno Sushi - An amazing combination of Japanese and South American cultures, a one-of-a-kind roll. Melon Curry - A similar preparation to Thai curry with amazing flavors of Melon. Japanese Cheesecake with Berry Sorbet - A fluffy Japanese cheesecake topped with a delicious berry sorbet

Soy Como Soy is a must-have experience. Pune has not seen or experienced anything of this kind before. I have learned a lot about new cuisine and culture through this dining experience. This was one of the best dining sessions in a long time. Thank you Iceberg and Soy Como Soy for having me and serving me the best...

Soy Como Soy, proved to be an absolute gem of a restaurant, offering a remarkable fusion of flavors that delighted my taste buds. From the sushi platter to the Birria Tacos, every dish was a culinary masterpiece.

Ambiance (4.5/5): The restaurant boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a touch of modern elegance. The dim lighting and soothing background music create a perfect setting for a relaxed dining experience. The friendly staff added to the overall positive vibe of the place.

Service (4/5): The service was attentive and efficient. Our orders were taken promptly, and the staff was well-versed in explaining the dishes on the menu. However, there were a few moments when we had to wait a bit longer for our dishes to arrive. Nevertheless, it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience.

Sushi Platter (5/5): The sushi platter was a masterpiece, offering a burst of flavors and textures. The selection was diverse, featuring both traditional and creative sushi rolls. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the presentation was Instagram-worthy. Each piece was a work of art, from the delicate sashimi to the intricately rolled maki. It was a true sushi lover's dream come true.

Birria Tacos (5/5): The Birria Tacos were a revelation. The succulent, slow-cooked meat was bursting with rich, flavorful juices, and the tortillas were perfectly toasted. The accompanying dipping sauce was a zesty addition that elevated the dish to another level. These tacos are a must-try, and they're worth the visit to Soy Como Soy alone.

In summary, Soy Como Soy is a hidden gem in Kalyani Nagar that brings an exciting fusion of flavors to the table. The sushi platter and Birria Tacos were exceptional, and the ambiance and service were commendable. If you're in the mood for a unique dining experience that blends different cuisines seamlessly, don't miss out on Soy Como Soy. It's a culinary journey you won't...

That Exceptionally Good Restaurant That You Must Visit

@sarah_mody recommended this place to us. Had she not, we wouldn't have heard of it as it's touched behind royal orchid central in Kalyani Nagar. They serve predominantly Asian food but also have some interesting Peruvian dishes!!

We ordered for an appetizer: Those Jalapeño Dumplings First the presentation just wowed us. How cool that they actually looked like jalapeños!! Really flavourful & vibrant wrapper which wasn't too dense wrapped around really really well balanced perfectly steamed chicken mince. Simply outstanding once dunked in soy

Those Bang Bang Fish Tacos Perfectly crumbled & fried John dory placed on a taco wrap served with a very flavourful salsa. The portion looked small but believe me it fills you up

That Chicken In Chilli Oil Served With Sticky Rice Hands down the BEST sticky rice I've eaten in my life. It had a little egg, some veggies & the chicken was just outstanding

If you have t been yet, GO GO GOOOOO!!!! Thank me later!!

Just outstanding food and service. Take a long low bow @chef_robert_jets & the entire team of @soycomosoyindia - we will be back for sure

Soy Como Soy in Koregaon Park offers a delightful dining experience, combining excellent food with a cozy ambiance and attentive service. We had the pleasure of trying several dishes, and here’s our take: Chicken Karaage: This dish was a standout, perfectly crispy on the outside with juicy, tender chicken on the inside. A great starter! Spider Sushi: Arguably the best dish we had during our visit. The combination of salmon, tuna, crab, and avocado made every bite a burst of flavor. Highly recommended! Salmon Sashimi: The sashimi was fresh and beautifully presented. The richness of the salmon was simply superb, making it a must-try for sashimi lovers. Chicken Gyoza: These dumplings were yummy, with a nice balance of flavors. The filling was flavorful and the dumplings had a perfect texture. Salmon Tuna Sushi: This was decent, but compared to the other standout items, it didn’t quite hit the mark. The ambiance of the restaurant was great—modern yet cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. Special mention to Sujay, who took great care of us, ensuring we had a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. The staff overall were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend Soy Como Soy for anyone looking for good food and a comfortable atmosphere in Koregaon Park!
