Soy Como Soy which means I am what I am in Spanish. You were confused with the word soy right? Don't worry you were right, this place serves Nikkei cuisine. Nikkei is Japanese - Peruvian fusion food, hence Soy Como Soy has an influence of Asian as well as South American culture in their cuisine. Iceberg hospitality has always been experimental and innovative in its ventures and Soy Como Soy is its brainchild - Pune's most sought-after fine dining place and also the city's first Nikkei restaurant. The makers of the restaurant have paid attention to all the minute details. The place is consist of 2 sections outdoors with a smoking area and indoors with a small private dining space. The decor is beautifully done with minimal yet classy designs. They have interesting and unique cutlery as well. Service here is super efficient. The staff is well-versed in hospitality etiquette. The knowledge of the staff about the entire culture adds to the experience.
Let's discuss some F&B Let's start with their exceptional mixology. They have a big bar stocked with one of the finest spirits available. Their mixologists should be called magicians as they don't make the drinks they make potions. I tried the following cocktails Pecky Melon - Gin with musk melon. Mayan OF - A different version of classic Old Fashion Oregin-To - G&T with a twist of Origano Better with Time - Wine-based cocktails All the cocktails were delectable and nicely potent. They use premium alcohol, the best ingredients, and fine techniques to create these, and everything can be tasted with every sip. From the bar let's move towards the kitchen, we indulged in the following preparations from Pune's only Nikkei kitchen. Avocado Crispy Rice cakes - Spicy rice cakes topped with creamy avocado Chicken Robata Grill - Beautifully charred chicken glazed with Japanese BBQ sauce and served on a mini grill Wild Mushroom Truffle Salsa Cheung Fun - Rice noodle rolls stuffed with wild mushrooms and white truffle oil. Miso Ebi - Prawns with miso and parmesan Spicy Jalapeno Sushi - An amazing combination of Japanese and South American cultures, a one-of-a-kind roll. Melon Curry - A similar preparation to Thai curry with amazing flavors of Melon. Japanese Cheesecake with Berry Sorbet - A fluffy Japanese cheesecake topped with a delicious berry sorbet
Soy Como Soy is a must-have experience. Pune has not seen or experienced anything of this kind before. I have learned a lot about new cuisine and culture through this dining experience. This was one of the best dining sessions in a long time. Thank you Iceberg and Soy Como Soy for having me and serving me the best...
