Pune has gotten an all-new meaning for #CKP...yup the heart of the city, Koregaon park is all ready to welcome the new kind of buzz to the wide variety the restaurant and dine in’s that city has to offer.
Chaurahe ke paar (CKP) has taken the city by storm and it has ample to offer for each one of you. The core concept at CKP, is to create stories and moments. Whether you are the book worm kind who would like to unwind over some lovely sandwiches and coffee or an adrenaline junkie who likes to compete with buddies over PS5 or a game of Monopoly, someone who loves his sprits and appreciates a huge and humongous bar counter or someone who just wants a calm secluded place to unwind with friends and family, you will be able to pick your corner in here because this place is for absolutely each and everyone. The place has a roof top area which can even be leveraged to host small parties or private functions.
The food menu spans across 13 pages and has ample options for those of you who prefer veg food. Now if that huge variety is unable to point you to some delectable dishes and rather leaves you more confused, they have a unique concept for you: ‘For staff food on the menu’ – which is the dish of the day which the staff had that day.
Pesto Chicken Tikka: A fusion dish where Punjab meets Italy. The tender moist chicken morsels generously coated with basil-pesto sauce tandoored just right, this is a good way to start the feast. Mutton seekh kebab: Loved these thoroughly for they were heavy on flavor and adequately moist. More often than not the Seekh kebab served are very dry which is kinda of disappointing to me if you ask. #MustHave Loaded nachos: Crispy nachos topped with in house salsa made desi style. The cheesy sour cream sauce was good one but I could use a little more of that instead of the tomato garnish. #DecentMunching Exotic Mix Veg pizza and Jerk Chicken Pizza: Both pizza’s were thin crust and were generously loaded with toppings. The in-house tomato marinade fused with cheese to give a beautiful tangy base for the toppings. I am not really a pizza lover, but liked these two variants. #PizzaDelight Chicken Alfredo Pasta: Some classic pasta to do some basic comparison and the verdict is: the pasta was decent but could use some better cheese variants to make the white sauce more fluid and flavorful. The chicken was mostly missing and as such made the dish more of a veg variant. #RunoftheMill Chicken stroganoff with herbed rice: yet another standard dish to do a basic comparison and put the Chef to test. The dish was an avalanche of chicken stripes floating in a creamy brown sauce. The consistency of sauce was pretty good, but the taste could have been better. The herbed rice could have been a bit more buttery and aromatic to make the dish pure bliss that it is for its lovers. The dish is huge for 1 portion and can easily be split with a loved one. #PrettyGood
Baked Lotus cheese cake, Caramel Bourbon Cake, Choco lava cake: The desserts although limited are adequate to polish off a good meal. They may not be impressive enough to appease a sweet tooth gourmand but certainly enough to appeal to your taste buds. The Baked Lotus cheese cake was best of the three we had. The bourbon could have used a bit more alcohol to make it a deal for those who can’t have enough of their spirits. The choco lava cake was a decent show of oozing, molten chocolate sauce from a soft spongy chocolate...

Bartender’s move : Bailey , Gin & litchi juice , A very unique combination and an amazing cocktail for those who love Baileys Irish cream.
Starters :
Chicken 65 : This is an all time favourite of mine , here it only got better with a lot of curry leaf flavour that accentuated the Dish.
Mutton Seekh kebab: Well marinated, tender juicy kebabs. Not dry and very flavourful. Presentation is top notch.
Mains :
Jerk chicken Pizza: Highly recommended, Very delicious pizza with freshly made pizza base from scratch.
Butter chicken with Butter Garlic Naan : Best combo ever , Butter chicken was delicious, not too sweet . Loaded with butter
Desserts :
Baked Lotus cheesecake : Cannot miss this ! The best cheesecake in town , and if that was not enough.. The garnishing was out of the world . With blueberries, cherries, red glove grape , edible flowers.. it was a Culinary experience to remember
Dark Chocolate & Walnut Brownie : A decent dark chocolate brownie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Was delicious but the cheesecake was what stole the show.

Read moreMum & I finished our eye check up and were craving good lunch. We headed to Koregaon Park, Lane 7, Chaurahe ke Paar.
We ordered a Diet Coke. The server mentioned it would be chilled. I told him we wanted it chilled so no worries. The coke was barely cold, let alone chilled. 🤦🏻♀️
We ordered three appetizers/starters..
Prawn Tempura.. can someone please tell me, in which universe is sevai crusted prawns a "tempura"? Photo attached! Also, they were over-fried hence the prawns within died all over again.
We ordered a Mushroom and Hummus Tartine. The multigrain bread below the hummus wasnt toasted. I can understand the underside of hummus being soft, but could the chef not have made the effort to crisp up one side of the bread. Untoasted bread pic attached!! The bread felt like sawdust. The mushrooms on top were very nicely done. Had a lovely hint of chili flakes and were cooked to perfection. #SeedhiBaatNoBakwas No complaints about the shrooms but that sawdust-y bread ruined the dish and mouth feel.
Our 3rd starter was Calamari and Prawn Chaat. Why, why, why would anyone overfry/overcook calamari (squid) and prawns to a rubbery texture? And, why would a restaurant serve batter-fried seafood COLD? WHY? There were around 6 slivers of thick wafer-like soggy chips on the chaat platter. If, because of the monsoon season, they could not serve them crisp, ideally, they shouldn't be served at all. Mum and i barely had a quarter of this dish. We had the remaining doggy bagged for the strays in the lane leading to our home. Luckily for Chaurahe ke Paar, the dogs dont pen reviews. 🤷🏻♀️
We were so disappointed with all three starters that we felt spending money on a main course would be an utter waste of money. We requested for our bill. Paid and left.
They need to pull up their chef who probably wants to plate up quickly, and get his/her work over with. Sometimes, people tell me, you probably ordered the wrong things. Well, if they are on a menu for which im paying the price mentioned, they damn well get it right! If there is a Chaurahe representative reading this, i hope they read, re-read, and improve their food.
Our tab was Rs 1555. Luckily, i had access to Zomato Gold which offered a 15% discount offer. Thank God for small blessings.
Will i return to Chaurahe ke Paar anytime soon? Nope, not a...
